SOURCE: I have a CF-73 toughbook that keeps dropping off network

What frequency is your wireless network? And do you have a cordless phone in the area where your router is? You may have to go into your router settings and select a different channel within its frequency range as some cordless phones will constantly scan the channel bandwidth and knock off your wireless connection.

How to fix bootmgr is compressed in Panasonic CF-52 ?

You will need a operatingsystem disk or a repair disk to fix it. Insert it in the drive then bootfrom it. You want to get to a dos command prompt (black screen with whitelettering) and type the following commands. Press ENTER after eachcommand.
    bootrec.exe /fixmbr
    bootrec.exe /fixboot
    bootrec.exe /rebuildbcd

Reboot and see if the problem is solved. If not get back to the doscommand prompt and run the check disk utility.Torun the check disk utility you will need a repair disc or a operating systemdisc. Put the disc in the cd drive and boot from it. You want toget to the Dos Command Prompt (Black screen with white letters) and type thefollowing command: chkdsk /r
Check disk will run well over an hour or two and you will notice thepercentages going from high to low, this is normal. Let it run tocompletion. Then reboot machine.

If check disk fails to solve your problem you might have to reinstall windows.Try doing a Repair Install that way you don't loose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs.

In windows xp you get to the dos command prompt by selecting R for repair whenthe options appear.

In Vista and Windows 7 you want to get to the recoveryconsole and look down at the bottom of the window for the Dos Command.

I dropped my panasonic tough book C-484HHUEM when working on it

the hard drive is located under the keyboard in toughbooks

    http://www.askmehelpdesk.com/computers-beginners/opening-toughbook-cf-47-a-25391.html
note its for CF47 but they are similar
As for not booting fully that could be a number of things, maybe you have tried these.......you have power so a reset might not help but still try it, remove battery and ac power hold power button down for 40 seconds. Try running also just on ac and then just on battery. Have you tried to run the machine in safe mode pressing F8 on boot. Even though it could be corrupt data or damaged HD worth trying the simple stuff.
hope helps a bit, get back to me if i can help at all

I need to know what is the highest operating system that can go on my panasonic CF-27 toughbook?

Most often the OS that came with the system is usually optomized fot the hardware.
However if the notebook came with say Win 98, ME, or XP you should be able to upgrade to the latest XP SP-3.
I would be surprised if Vista would work on a machine that wasn't already equipped in running at least XP SP-2

Pannasonic Toughbook CF-47 with Windows 2000, get error message: "operating system not found." Tried all 3 drives, rebooting and charged battery fully to no avail??? Please advise. Thank you.

This means that the computer cannot find an operating system on the hard drive. This is often because the hard drive has gone bad. Replace with a new drive and reinstall windows and that will solve your problem. Thanks and please if you could remember to give this answer a rating of fixya; even if the answer isn't the greatest news :c) Thanks! :c)

    Cf-47 drivers

You assume correctly. Open the device manager to see which drivers you need exactly. You can find them at Panasonic's support site. The link below will take you directly to it. If there are any you can't find here, then try driverguide.com. You will have to register with driver guide, but it's free.
