The HP slow issue can be caused by many many reasons such as outdated hardware, overload startup programs, corrupt registry issues, too many junks, virus attack, poor security software taking too much system resources, remnants of uninstalled applications etc. The fact is, you should keep some system maintenance job regularly. If you don't want to do these manually, try the hp speed up software to give a free & full scan of your slow HP PC to find & fix all possible issues. Meanwhile, upgrading hardware configuration (add RAM, change a new video card, larger-volume HDD etc) can be a fast yet effective way to improve your pc performance. But that won't be the most economical way, as you know you can't always afford to do that. Good luck!

Poor performance could be down to a number of reason's but adding memory is usually good value.
you can visit http://www.crucial.com to find out what additional memory (if any) you can add to your machine and how much it will cost.
Also worth making sure your anti-virus is up to date, that you have a decent amount of free hard disk space (at least 1Gb), defrag your hard drive if possible and run a good anti-malware scan to make sure there isn't any dodgy processes hanging about....suggest downloading and running the free edition of MalwareBytes - http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
I hope this helps and good luck! If you have more questions - ask away!

I have an Acer Aspire E700 running vista home premium and am having alot of trouble with it shutting down with a blue screen saying that 'kernel_stack_inpage_error. I have run chkdsk and it doesnt come up...

Kernel stack errors are nasty and cause blue screen errors.
I would check your installed RAM, if there are no errors, the NTFS error is worrying as that means hard drive failure.
Take your pick really but Heystack errors can be caused by errors on the hard drive.
As you boot up your Desktop, press F8 and select Safe Mode. If it loads then it may be memmory errors. Check memmory by using the BIOS menu and select Memmory Test in the option menu, it will depend on your BIOS version as to what it is called or indeed even where it is, so you may need to search a bit!
If you can get into the programmes, back up all you need and then run Recovery from the F8 menu, then reinstall your data but don't bother with AVG use a propper antivirus like Norton or even Microsoft Essentials.
Hope this helps.

My computer hangs up

as it is an HP DV6000, with known motherboard issues, I would suggest try running a few other programs also and see if they hang as well.

Hp pavillion ze2000

Are you wirless or wired to the network?

If wireless, you just may be getting a crudy signal, try getting closer to access point ( router).

Also, Verizon sux, i hate them, personally.

Anyways.
If you show the connection is good, then it could just be you have a slow system. I need to know your specs.

1. What operating system
2. What type and how much RAM
3. What kind of processor
4. what kind of Video Card?
5. Dial up? or High speed DSL ?
6. Wired or wirless?

Get back to me and we can see whats up.

Oh, its not overheating is it. When it runs slow, is the cooling fan reving really high? Is it giving off alot of heat besides the norm when it starts acting up?

HP pavillion dv1000 won't charge

Try using your laptop without the battery and just using your power supply (new universal or your old one).
If your laptop works on just mains power it means your battery is causing the problem, which is not unusual.
