I need to know what splitter I can use for a Plantronics Blackwire C220 headset. I need to be able to plug in 2 headsets and use one to listen only and one to talk and listen. Please tell me what splitter I can use because I am having a hard time finding one.

There is not a USB splitter for computer headsets like the Plantronics BlackWire C220, you would have to go to a commercial grade headset to have that function. You can use any of the Plantronics "H-series" headsets with the Plantronics Y-training cable (model 27019-03), along with a USB adapter like the Plantronics DA40 or DA45 for training purposes.

My Plantronics C420-M is not recognized

How To Fix Error Code 43 Windows has stopped this device because it has...

If Windows Device Manager is giving a code 43, this means the hardware is reporting something wrong when trying to connect. I'd do the following (and also check the attatched link for reference ;-) )

  • Unplugging the headset, restarting the computer, then plugging the headset back in.
  • Make sure the USB connector on your headset (and the USB port you're putting it in) is undamaged, and not dirty.
  • Try connecting the headset to another USB port, and another computer to see if you're able to reproduce the issue there (if not- it may just be the USB port(s) on your computer that you're plugging the headset into that's failing.
If all else fails, it may be time to purchase a new headset ;-)

Loose wiring plantronics C610M

If you have a loose wire, there's no choice but to repair it or replace it(the wire). Then again, it depends on whether or not it's the mike or headphone, that's intermittent. For more information, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

\\the cables leading to the earpieces on my Plantronics Blackwire C420-M are hopelessly twisted. Is there a way to detach them to straighten them out?

Kim, sorry to hear about your dilemma. The cords cannot be removed. If they're twisted, you're only choice is to try and weave them back and forth around the headsets to see if they'll untangle a bit. It has been done with some success on other models. It'll take some patience but like an old sea captain once said: "Patience is a virtue, possess it if you can? Seldom found in woman but never found in man." So you have a better chance than I would :o).

Cant listen to music on my motorola i1 & plantronics explorer 233

Plantronics Explorer 233 Bluetooth headset does not support the Bluetooth profile Advanced Audio Distribution (A2DP). Your Bluetooth device and your phone both need to support A2DP profile, without this Bluetooth profile your devices are not capable of streaming music.

How do I listen to music through the bluetooth

Listen to music with the Plantronics Explorer 220:

Unfortunately the Explorer 220 was not designed for music, it does not have the technology built in to stream audio. Headsets must have the Bluetooth A2DP profile and technology to be able to stream music. Like the Plantronics Voyager Pro+ and BackBeat models. Here are the links for these below.

I have a Plantronics C610 headset. The caller can hear me, but I can not hear the caller.

Here are a couple of things you can try. I included the link for the user guide below.

Callers cannot hear me.
• Headset is muted. Press the mute button on headset to unmute the microphone.
• Headset microphone boom aligned incorrectly. Align the headset boom with your mouth.
• The USB adapter is not set as the default Voice device. Use the Voice settings in Windows under Sounds and Voice Devices to select "Plantronics C610/C620" as the voice device.

Here is a link to the Plantronics C610 User's Guide.

Headset installed but doesn't work

We used the following steps recently with a customer and it fixed his problem:

In Windows, click Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices / Audio tab / Sound playback box / Default device: Plantronics C620 (instead of RealTek HD Audio Output)

He also had to restart WMP (Windows Media Player) and it worked great.

I can hear, but no one can hear me when I speak.

Make sure the Blackwire C420-M is the default device selected in your Sounds and Audio Device Properties under Sound recording.

I don"t know how to put my blue tooth in discoverable mode

Try this:

1. With your headset turned on, simultaneously

press the listen volume adjust button marked

+ (volume up) and the call control button.

Release the buttons when the indicator light

begins to flash red then blue.

2. While the headset is flashing red and blue,

use the phone menu to search for Bluetooth

devices and select "510 Plantronics".

3. When prompted for password, enter 0000.

The headset will flash blue when paired
successfully.
