After washing the fryer and touch by water. It stop working. I left it dry fir a ling time but still not working. Its a gift and I seem not to find the receipt. Where can I take it to for repair or what can be done to get it start working again because I haven't got other better means to fry

Despose of the old oil. Hand wash everything with dawn dish soap and water. Except the electical componets wipe with damp cloth. Unplug for your own safety of electrical shock

Didja wash the plates? It takes a little maintenance, and there are a lot of things that could make it stop working (Magnum, anti-aircraft fire, someone tripped over the cord, power quality in Karachi is lousy, there's pudding in the works...) but washing the plates with dishsoap and water, (then drying them before trying to start again) ought to fix most things that could be wrong.

Sometimes a fiber (a gift from a guest, maybe) is protruding into the works that needs to be removed, but those are the main reasons.

There is a relay on the soap dispenser, if it is a Kenmore quietguard 4, I had the same type of noise, the repairman replaced the dispenser, which to me made no sense, because the relay is activated from the control board. After the $130. for the soap dispenser, he ended up replacing the control board for another $160. Now the dishwasher only goes up to the dry cycle and stops. If you press the heated dry button and then the heated wash button 5 times each, the entire control face will light up and it will do some kind of reset and try a new cycle. I have tried the button pushing and it worked great till it got to the dry cycle, so I am looking for another solution without involving Sears. Good Luck!
