SOURCE: Help with Sansa 2gb MP3 Player

Get firmware update and then restart your computer:

Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx

SOURCE: plug into computer says its fully charged.

Thanks for using FixYa.

If the unit isn't turning on after charging, it needs to be repaired or replaced. If it only comes on while it's plugged into the computer, this indicates the battery isn't holding a charge. If you have the receipt contact the manufacturer to discover their warranty policy and procedure.

Green battery light on the archos 5 but when i disconnect it from dock or usb no green lights abd completely dead - won't switch on either in dock or out???

Power green LED light should come on, CHG green LED light should also come on showing the battery is being charged. Leave your unit in Suspend mode while charging it, DO NOT turn it completely off as "Shutting Down.." because it will not charge your battery.

I just purchased an almost new Archos 5 on eBay recently, and the first day I had it, happened to me that I left the unit off and charging on the Mini Dock with external AC power supply, after 13-14 hours the CHG light still wasn't blinking. Then I though maybe I have to leave the unit in Suspend mode rather than completely off, which I did, and in a matter of 3 hours it fully charged the battery.

Again, do not shut down completely the unit, leave it on Suspended mode, or even on, and connected it to your mini dock, after a while the screen will go blank the unit will go into Suspended mode by itself, and after 3 hours on external power supply or 8 hours via USB on PC should be completely charged and your CHG light should be blinking, indicating the battery is charged.

I hope this helped.

Even when the battery is fully charged(3.6v) the player turns off by itself in a few seconds. However, when connected to a PC, it continues playing normally.

Zen 16 gig won't turn nor charge

hold down the reset button for about 1 min then leave it for about 30 seconds. once you have done that try turning it on, if it does not turn on and it is completely dead leave it pluged in to your computer by using the usb cable, leave for about 30 mins it then might start to charge, if it does start to charge leave it till it is fully charged and then it should turn on. if none of that works then i don't know.

IPod nano 4gb Not working, fully charged but won't power up

First make sure your hold switch isn't on. It's on the top or bottom and slides back and forth. It needs to be switched to the left. Once it is to the left, here's how you reset:

You can reset your ipod by holding down the menu and select (round button in the center) buttons down for at least 10 seconds. You'll see an apple logo flash, that's when you stop pressing the buttons. It will shut off, then back on.

My Zune is Not responding

after much research on this matter in the past few hours. To resolve this situation don't shut the zune down by holding play/pause button it does not shut down properly that way.

Hold down the down & back button down until shuts off....zune recommends as the best way to turn off your zune. Also if you are having problems holding charge, a lot of people replaced the original charge plug and found that it worked again. these cables usually become faulty from previous models and 30gigs. So buy a new cable & shut it down correctly.

Still no worky??? Call zune, within 1 year they will accept it for repairs. They may even send you a new refurbished zune...since they no longer are making the 30 gig...probably for those reasons.

I hope this advice not only helps you but myself. Who wants an expensive paperweight...not I!

Left connected when shutdown

This happens to me every other time I connect to charge the battery. I remove the screws on the back and remove and reinstall the battery then back to normal but still without a full charge.
