I don't have an instruction manual for my Sony VOR M-560V. Which button or sequence of buttons do I use to erase a tape that already has recorded voice?

Before you insert the already recorded tape make sure you close off the small square hole with the moveable tab(often green or red colored). After inserting the tape rewind it to the point where you want to start reusing the tape ,set in camera mode and hit the record button .
Although I couldn't find a specific step-by-step sequence through online Radio Shack info, a phone call to a person at a nearby store was helpful: I was reminded that the instructions were printed underneath the lid where the button choices are!

I have the same recorder (Sony ICD B310F) and in playing around with the buttons, I figured out how to ERASE THEM!!!
Go to the file you want to erase
Hold down the menu button (have to do this the entire time ) until you see the word "MODE"
While holding the menu button, press the forward arrow (like FF) and scroll until you see the word "ERASE"
Still holding down the menu button, press the play button.
Your file number will blink along w/ the word "ERASE", press the play button.
You should notice your file numbers decreased by one file. You have successfully erased the file.
