The drain hole is blocked, so water is not drain and getting freezed, and then melting and it leaks.--------the drain is stopped up ,, remove the inside back panel inside the freezer and pour hot water into the troft under the coil in the back and flush the drain ,, once water runs though the drain hole then put the panel back in and it will be fine.
------------------
The drain tube is located below the pan below the fins at the rear of your freezer. The drain tube has a trap (s-shaped curve) to prevent air flow out of the freezer. The problem is that water gets in this tube and freezes. You can take the sheet metal cover off the back, get a turkey baster and flexible tube, and continuously flush hot water.this will clear the clog.--------- Thanks.

Water leaking from under the freezer

Until defrosting the block of ice you canot see if is a hole or crack in the bottom. But I suppose is leaking from the door gasket under the pressure of the ice inside. Anyway, if you want to keep alife your refrigerator, better unplug it, defrosting and clean it before complete annihilation.

Removed everything from the freezes. Removed a false bottom from the freezer floor, 2 screws. There was an ice build up under this plastic bottom. I let the ice melt with the de-frost cycle (or frost free cycle). No more water dripping into the refrigerator compartment.

Fridge is dripping directly onto top shelf. It is

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curtain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you have any other question. Water dripping from freezer onto top shelf of fridge with ice buildup back of freezer

the defroster isn't close enough to the drain to be effective. remove the back wall of the inside of the freezer, remove the excess ice. clear out the ice from the drain using hot water and a turkey baster. there is a kit from whirlpool that uses a piece of metal and a screw around the defrost rod, but I found out that a piece of 14 gauge solid core wire with the insulation stripped off works great too. stick the stripped wire into the drain, 2 to 3 inches, and wrap the rest around the defrost rod.

Water leaking and ice in bottom shelf of freezer

Chances are you have a bad seal around the door if it's leaking from the inside which causes the ice to form as well, or if it's leaking from under the freezer you lave a bad heating element that evaporates the water collected in the pan under the freezer or you have a clogged hose that goes to the pan under the freezer which also causes the ice to form because the water has no place to go. Defrost and try to find a way to blow out the hose that goes from your freezer to the pan under the freezer and that should take care of your problem.

Estate TT21AKXKQ Refrigerator Leak

sounds like you have a clogged defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials works awesome, after you clear it and all water drain down tube wrap a piece of solid copper wirearound the heater( black calrod heater right above the drain trough) and stick it in the whole maybe an inch or so. now everythime the heater comes on to defrost it will prevent the hole from freezing over

Refrigerator drip

My SZ 550 (fridge over freezer) dripped constantly. Turned out to be a frozen drain tube, located 6 inches above the refigerator floor, centered on the back wall (cold side of refrigerator). Remove both trays and the lower glass shelf to see it. This tube runs down, behind the freezer, dumping refrigerator condensate in the pan below the freezer. If it's frozen the condensate leaks out the front of the fridge, down and onto the floor.
The fix, suggested elsewhere (not my idea) is quite simple and elegant. Thaw the tube (this will take an incredibly long time.) Fish a string (I used a piece of yarn) from the refrigerator (cold) side of the tube, down and out the other end, under the freezer. I was able to use a vacuum to suck the yarn through. Be creative. Once the fish line is in, tie a piece of nylon fishing line to the yarn and pull it through the tube. You have replaced the yarn with a stronger fishing line, which you can use to pull a piece of copper wire (I used common 14 gage romex, stripped of insulation through the drain tube. Leave the copper wire in the tube. If you wind the bottom end of the copper wire around some of the warm evaporator coils under the freezer the heat will be sufficient to keep the tube from freezing. I did this about a year ago and have had no problems since. Good luck.
