Sounds like it is broken. Should be under the manufacturer's warranty. Go to the store and get it exchanged. Or contact KitchenAid.

My Mr Coffee beeps three times when I push the brew button and will not brew

If the carafe, the filter basket, or the water reservoir are not all properly seated, the unit will beep 3 times to let you know it cannot brew until everything is in place.

This happens to me sometimes when I push the button right as I'm putting the carafe in place. I just need to wait a few seconds.

How do I run the clean cycle?

I assume you mean descaling the coffee maker when the Clean indicator flashes after a brewing cycle. You can use a packaged descaling product or white vinegar. For the packaged descaling agent, follow the package directions for the ratio of product and water. If you are using vinegar, fill the carafe with a 50:50 mixture of water and vinegar.

Remove the water filter and remove any coffee and coffee filter from the brew basket. Make sure the unit is plugged in and turned on. Pour the descaling mix from the carafe into the water tank and then place the carafe in the coffee maker. You have 10 seconds to program the cleaning mode or the unit will return to the standby mode. The next step depends on the type of carafe. For a machine with the glass carafe, press Mode 6 times. Otherwise for a unit with the thermal carafe, press Mode 5 times. The Clean indicator will blink. Press Program/Set followed by the + or - button to select Clean On. Press and hold Program/Set until you hear the beep. Press Brew and wait for the cycle to complete (the Clean indicator will go off). Then do two brewing cycles with water but no coffee or coffee filter. Discard the fluid from the coffee maker from all three cycles. Wash the brew basket and then reinstall the water filter.

If you notice an odd taste to the coffee when you next brew some, do at least one more rinse with water (remove the water filter and coffee grounds/filter).

KitchenAid manuals are available from their site: http://shared.whirlpoolcorp.com/product_literature/search.jsp?siteCd=KAD . The direct link to the manual for the Kitchenaid KCM223OB is http://www.kitchenaid.ca/assets/pdfs/literature/Use%20and%20Care%20Guide%20-%20W10321647.pdf . See page 13 for the directions.

I hope this helps.

Coffee won't brew - lights turn on - clock works - clicks little.

2 years old I would pitch and buy a new one.

Cleaning generally won't help a machine that does not work.
Heating element has probably burned out.
(I am not talking about the heating pad for the carafe!)

For future reference for all the coffee drinkers out there:
Simple quick way to clean a drip coffee maker is use Vinegar.
Let it brew through the system as you would water.
Discard and run fresh water through the system to clear out the vinegar residue left behind. (Make SURE the system has cooled first before running the fresh water through!)

For those that have hard water and the coffee tastes funny.
Try a small pinch of salt in the filter basket ON top of the coffee grounds. This will soften the water and hopefully take the bitter taste away.

Guess it is possible large enough calcium deposits could block the hole in the holding tank to prevent the water from percolating to the filter basket. You may wish to check this before tossing. Last minute thought before pushing the post button.

Good luck!

No manual with Bunn NHBX coffee maker.

before plugging in place your empty filter basket in the coffee maker and place a pot under it. Slowly pour in two pots of water using the pour pitcher. Now you can plug it in. it'll take 15 min to heat up first time . when you brew your first pot leave your water level a little short, because the water will expand (only the first time)

Bad taste

There might be some residue in the machine, you can try using some ScaleKleen which is activated citric acid, use a very small amount diluted in water(about 1/4 teaspoon). Run brew cycle with solution, after cycle complete, rinse reservoir, and run about 4 cycles with fresh water. This will clean out your machine.

How to clean the kitchenaid java express coffee maker

The Coffee Maker can be descaled using
a packaged descaling agent or vinegar.
Always mix the descaling solution using
cool water.
• When using a descaling agent, follow
the directions on the package for the
recommended amounts of descaling
agent and water to use.
• When using vinegar, fill the carafe with
a solution consisting of 1⁄2 vinegar and
1⁄2 water.
Descaling Steps:
1. Before descaling, always remove the
water filter (see “Installing the Ion-
Exchange Water Filter” on page 7) and
make sure the brew basket contains
no coffee or coffee filters.
2. Run the Coffee Maker through a
complete brewing cycle using a full
carafe of the descaling solution.
3. If the cleaning needed indicator lights
after the brewing cycle is complete,
repeat Step 2 using fresh descaling
solution. Keep repeating Step 2 until
the cleaning needed indicator no
longer lights after brewing.
4. Rinse the Coffee Maker by running
it through two brewing cycles using a
full carafe of fresh, cool water
each time.
5. Wash the brew basket in hot, soapy
water and rinse with hot water. This
part can also be washed in the upper
rack of the dishwasher.
6. Reinstall or replace the water filter.
Replace the filter every three months
under normal usage, or more often
with heavy use.

Suggestion was Descaling the Coffee Maker from KitchenAid Phoebe (I'm guessing customer support)

http://kitchenaidconversations.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=14441&SearchTerms=err+2
Cleaning scale from coffee maker DO NOT USE THAT MUCH VINEGAR! Put a tiny bit of vinegar in the carafe and fill carafe the rest of the way with water. Run that vinegar/water through machine. Using another container, fill machine with plain water and run that through. Repeat until the vinegar taste is gone. If you do not run lots of plain water through the machine after, your coffee will taste like...um...disgusting! Also, use a spell-checker before improving this posting.

**************
To clean hard water deposits from a coffee maker use distilled white vinager. You may need to use as much as a gallon if the scale buildup is really bad. Fill clean coffee pot one half full of vinager and run through machine as if making coffee. Repeat this process several times using fresh vinager until it comes out clear. Do this once a week and your maker will work much better.

Thanks.

Mr Coffee stopped brewing

Sounds like there are a couple of problems -

First, are you certain that the coffee basket is clean? If the coffee basket has a valve on the bottom that allows you to remove the carafe to pour a cup of coffee, make sure the valve is clean. Being dirty would cause it to trickle coffee slowly into the carafe, and will hold coffee in the basket too long.

2nd, you may need to flush the water heating system as they can become corroded with precipitated solids from the water.
To do this, mix 1 part vinegar to 2 parts water in the carafe. Pour into the coffee maker and tell it to make coffee. Do this a couple of times, using a fresh mix of vinegar and water each time. Pour the used mixture down the drain.
When you feel it is clean, follow it up with a fresh pot of water. Then wash and rinse the carafe.

The coffee maker is now ready for it's next use.

The coffeemaker reads ERR2 and will not work (model #: KCM511), what does this mean?

Manual says it's a heating element failure. You'll have to replace it. Kitchenaid may replace it if its still under the one year warranty.
