It is most likely the thermal regulator located in between the inet and out pipes on the manifold behind a black plug remove the plug be carful thereally is a large spring being the plug attached to the thermal regulator. Remove the regulator and look for any corrosion if any at all replace the regulator if not drop the regulator in hot water and see if it completely opens if not it is the regulator

I have a comfort glow model CJ26PL propane heater when i turn it on to high it works good for prolly 2min then the mediun side burner like blows out and wont stay lite so i can only run it on low after...

If it has air shutters on the burners try turning the air down. also you may want to check gas pressure. LP on the average has 10 to 11" of water colume. If it is higher than you will need to turn the gas pressure down..

Main burner will not lite. Jumped "TH" wires on

Follow the wire down to the front of the cabinet and you should find a black section about two inches long. Jump past this and see if it fires. This is a wax roll out switch. If the fire comes out the front of the box this switch will melt and shut the heater down. If the black is loose it's probably OK. If it is tight on the wire it has gone bad.
This protects the rest of the heater from flame roll out so if it has gone bad you need to check for the reason it did.

I have a laars lite 2 manual controls natural gas. The unit starts up runs strong for 5 mins shuts down restarts runs for now only seconds and shuts off

sounds like the hi limit switch is shutting it down, because it is not getting enough water, cloged filter, valve to heater notopen, bypass valve not closed, open up the water releif valve with the pump running should be alot of water running coming out of it.

I have a Jandy Lite 2, turned on the gas line, checked for power, have already cleaned the water/backwashed, etc. Won't light & says I need to call for service. Any ideas - they say a week to get here.

Pump is running while you try to burn? There must be water pressure for the fire to come on. What is the code? Check against the list inside on the electric box cover.
