Carry one of your lenses to a camera store and ask them to let you compair it with one for a Maxxum.

The Sony Alpha / Konica / Minolta mount is called a TYPE A bayonette mount. google the Maxxum and see if it accepts the TYPE A mount.

Broken battery door

No. Duct tape will hold the battery but it won't make contact. Without something connecting that end of the battery to the circuitry in the camera, you may as well leave it empty.

The Konica Minolta Maxxum QTsi is a nice SLR camera that can accept a wide range of 35mm films. You can buy 35mm films from Kodak, Fujifilm and many other companies.

I just bought a Minolta maxxum QTsi from a lady and it had no manual with it, I can't figure out how to load the film. Can you take me step by step on how to load the film and how the camera works when...

Hi, I've found the instruction manual online for you, http://www.mediacollege.com/equipment/manual/konica-minolta/camera/maxxum-qtsi.pdf that way you have it for future reference. For loading film you open up the back of the camera and make sure that the end of the roll of film is aligned with a red mark and then you close the back. For taking pictures you press the shutter button half way in order for it to focus, when the image you want is framed you press the shutter button the entire way and it'll take the photo.

Konica lenses do not fit Minolta cameras. I think you messed something up.

Minolta MC and MD lenses worked on the older manual focus Minolta bodies. They will also work on the Phoenix and Seagull clones of the old Minolta bodies.

The Konica lens should only ever be mounted on a Konica camera.

Your 7000i is now a Minolta paperweight. You need to send your 7000i for repair or replace it.

You could also look on Ebay for another Maxxum body to use your lenses designed for the Minolta A mount. As a rule, camera lenses are not interchangeable. You can use any Maxxum lens on any Maxxum body as a rule, but Minolta changed their flash shoe after the original 7000 series. Flashes that work with your 7000i will work with any subsequent Maxxum.

Bad Minolta Maxxum lens?

Oddly enough, the camera and lens are working just fine now - or at least they appear to be. I'll shoot some more when I have good lighting and 1-hour them tomorrow for the results.
