Make A boot disk from a working Windows 98 machine. After you make the boot disk, copy the MS 'debug' to the floppy.
Boot the laptop from the floppy.(this might not be possible due to a setting in the BIOS.)
Search online for MS Debug +clear CMOS
Run the Debug program and type in the commands exactly as written.
reboot, and you should be able to go into the BIOS by holding F2.
That's it.
If you can't boot from the floppy, remove the hard drive. the computer should boot from the floppy, no matter what the BIOS setting is.

On the Windows Logon screen, you get to choose an ID that has already been created, e.g., 'user' or 'George' or 'administrator' or 'guest'.

Choose 'guest', and see if you can login.
If so, then START -> RUN -> 'cmd' (enter)
'cd \'.
'cd doc*'
'dir'
You should see 'All Users' and 'Administrator' and maybe some other "identities", such as 'user' or 'George' or 'George Bush'.
LOGOFF, and then try to login as 'user' or 'George Bush'.

Panasonic CF-51 computer getting stuck, and making clicking noise. Have to turn off manually and restart.

    Hi,

Listen carefully to the HDD bay of the CF-51, If the "Clicking" sound is coming from that area then it is possible that the hard drive is failing causing the whole laptop to freeze up.

If that is the case then you're looking at a new or replacement hard drive.

    Regards.

I have a panasonic CF-27EB and USB wont work.

Your port is probably damaged. Are you saying all USB devices are not working through the ports or a particular device is not working? Give me more detail please.

2 beeps no display model cf-27eb

This POST error could mean BIOS error or a system board failure.
I suggest you replace the BIOS battery and configure the BIOS date and time etc. If this doesn't work then reseat the RAM modules.
If this doesn't work, take the RAM module/s to youe friendly computer shop to get them to test the RAM.
If all this fails then most likely the laptop's motherboard is dead.

    Unable to reset bios password

You will need to physically look at the motherboard, and next to the battery there will be a jumper and it will be on 2 of 3 available pins. Move the jumper to the other two and leave it for about 30 seconds. Replace it to the original two pins and then turn on the computer and enter BIOS as normal. Password should have been removed.
