One of two issues is likely causing this:

1. There is too much plugged in to the battery outlets on the device for the unit to provide backup.

2. More than likely it just needs a new battery. You can find a battery here: http://www.batteryinternational.com/cyber-power-cps585avr-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Hope that helps and thanks for voting.

Yes, that could be the case. Eventually, a battery will be unable to recharge and would need to be replaced.
You could get a new battery from a local battery specialty store like Batteries Plus or Interstate Battery, or online at www.replacementupsbattery.com. A new battery would be about $30. If you took your old battery there, they could recycle your old one, as well as match it up with the correct one you would need (BP7-12 battery).
We have a 3 year warranty on all our battery back up units. If you have any questions, you could contact us here at CyberPower Systems Technical Support at 877-297-6937, M-F 8-5 Central, or email us at [email protected].

The power on the Panasonic Palmcorder IQ PV-A206 turns itself off. I've tried plugging directly and with a fully charged battery, no luck.

please make this test and fix it. God bless you

If the video camera doesn't work, make sure the battery is charged (see The Battery Recharger Fix-It Guide) or replace a battery that won't hold a charge. Make sure the AC adapter is connected properly. Clean any dirty contacts on the battery, charger, and AC adapter with a cotton swab dipped in denatured alcohol. Remove corrosion with a clean pencil eraser, then wipe the area with an artist's brush to remove any debris. Find and test the fuse, if any.
If the power goes off soon after starting, recharge a low battery. Also, turn the video camera power off, then turn it back on and eject the tape. If the problem persists, check the fuse
If the battery won't charge, clean the contacts and fully discharge the battery, then recharge it. If the problem persists, replace the battery

If the video camera works intermittently, remove and reseat the to establish good contact. If necessary replace the fuse

The light on the end of the dock stays red. Battery when recharged turns green. When placed back on the dock, then the light goes back to red.

Turn your camera on and look at the battery life after you had it charging for a while. your rechargable batteries may be bad or getting bad. Try trading out the rechargeable batteries or try plugging in your charger on a different outlet at home

The lens goes out and in when turn power on

Probably the rechargeable batteries are low on power. THis will cause this exact same issue.
Batteries will discharge after a week or two of non use of the camera even if not turned on.

Cordless Battery-Powered Soldering Iron wont turn on anymore

You can replace the battery with other new batteries, that way, you can tell whether it is the rechargeable batteries or the iron that are faulty.

Camera ran out of battery, whilst zoom lense out.Replaced with new batteries but now when i turn the camera on it bleeps for about 3 seconds and then goes off.I cant even get it to stay on long enough to...

Some batteries (especially the lower mAh rechargables) don't seem to have enough power. Try putting in a couple of brand-new (non-rechargeable) Duracells, and see if that helps.

My sony cybershot wont turn on!!

The symptoms sound like a failing battery. The camera is shutting down due to insufficient power during startup checks. How old is your battery? Rechargeables really aren't meant to last more than a year or two.

Now I realize that Sony batteries are outrageously expensive. But thankfully there are generic alternatives such as:

Rechargeable batterie won't work in my Camera.

Not sure what camera you have, but some cameras require a very steady power supply voltage. Also not sure how old your rechargeable batteries are either, but batteries (alkaline and rechargeable decay over time. With the rechargeable ones, the more you use it, the less it can charge to full capacity over time. For example, if your rechargeable battery is supposed to charge up to 1.5V, over a period of a year with constant recharges, you can test with a volt meter and see that it never really goes back up to 1.5V, but more like 1.48V, 1.45V or maybe even 1.4V.

Depending on the camera or other item you use rechargeable batteries on, it can adapt to low voltages with special circuitry inside (but only to a certain limit, when a battery is old, it is old).

You can try buying a new set of rechargeable batteries and use it few times and see if this fixes the issue. If not, your camera may be faulty and just draining the battery (not too likely, but it happens).

S630 lens out and wont turn on

Cameras belonging to the S Series really do have a battery type option that needs to be set up first for proper power connection.

Recommended batteries are just:
- Alkaline (Non-rechargeable)
- Nickel-metal Hydride (Rechargeable)

Just the proper battery type by:

- Pressing MENU/OK button
- Scroll to the right until you are in SETUP 2
- Keep on scrolling down and look for battery type
- Press the right button to pick up on 2 options
like Alkaline and Ni-MH
- Press MENU/OK for changes to be saved
- Keep pressing MENU/OK to get out of the MENU

Once, it's done, camera needs to be turned off for a few seconds
so that settings made will be refreshed with the camera.

As you turn camera on, you're now ready to take many pictures.

ALKALINE (Non-rechargeable) batteries when set to the correct battery type will really take a maximum of 100 pictures.

For the Rechargeable batteries (Ni-MH), when those are fully charged, and the battery type is set to Ni-MH, it will be taking more than a hundred of course.

I hope this help you a lot.
