My electrolux EWF 1074 washing machine suddenly doesn't start. When I load and press start button it changes to pause in a second, and it gives me error if I press start button again. There's no error code. Any ides what it could be? Thanks.

Hmmm I checked the door, hose and water. They're all set correctly..., so it must be component failure??..
I tried to contact a couple of repair persons but both didn't want to take a look or fix eletrolux washing machine.
Do you know where I might be able to get a repair person for that?
    Thanks for your advise.

Hi

First make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the bottom of the unit, after this test the door lock-switch assembly. If the door lock-switch is also fine then the control board should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Hi jaejin_a_jun,

There are 3 likely causes.

1) Is the door firmly closed, it could be the door lock is not activated properly - Please check.

2) Is the Water open at the tap - Please open it fully

3) Is the Inlet hose or Outlet hose kinked? - Please straighten it

If these check out well, it could mean a possible component failure.

To check the drain pump (attached to drain hose at bottom) and Inlet hose (attached to inlet hose at top inner cavity) attached direct power to the 2 points found on each.

To chek door lock, check for power from the PCB to it via a Multimeter.

Kind Regards

How do I fix this problem: The OK light flashes. The washing machine worked for an hour but then this problem happened.

Obviously, an alarm is displayed after some time.
The alarm is displayed by a repeated flashing sequence of the START / PAUSE button with yellow and red light (0,5 seconds on, 0,5 seconds off with a 2,5 second pause between the sequences).
• button indicator START / PAUSE with yellow light indicates the first digit of the alarm code (family)
• button indicator START / PAUSE with red light indicates the second digit of the alarm code (internal number of the family).

Showing on screen E41

Family error code E40 is visible to customers and (could be E41,E42,E43,E44 and E45 only visible in service mode) means problem with open door or door interlock.
I suggest rapid reading alarm code when appliance is in normal operating mode (e.g. during the execution of the washing
programme):
Press and hold down START/PAUSE and the nearest option button simultaneously for at least two seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence corresponding to the alarm.
The alarm sequence continues as long as the two buttons are held down.
E41 - Door open
E42 - Problems of door closure
E43 - Interlock power supply triac faulty
E44 - Door interlock sensor faulty
E45 - Door interlock sensing circuit triac faulty

Possible causes:
Door interlock faulty, wiring faulty or PCB faulty.

Ewf 1074 sudden stop no power

I have the same problem "no power at all" when plug into the power wall inlet. No lamp on, display is blank/no led of 7 segments lit, nothing. The door can be opened and closed normally. Holding Delay and Extra Rinses buttons when power on the electrolux EWF 1074, doesn't help either. The electricity wall plug in is active. What can I do more ?
