Can't install Canon ImageCLASS D780? Please help

I have a Canon Imageclass D780. My daughter had been using it without a problem and has the drivers on her computer. But she got a new printer and I now have the D780 but no drivers.

Canon USA was no help. Their support web site said that no drivers were available. So I went to the Canon/Canada web site and found and downloaded the drivers to my desktop. I clicked on the icon produced by the download. This resulted in a new folder containing two subfolders being unzipped. One is named WF_UT and the other is WINXP. It's the WINXP subfolder I clicked on. There I found 26 files but none among them was a setup file. So I clicked each of the files but couldn't get the device installed. The name of the driver I downloaded is ImageCLASS_D700s_prtDriverV100winXP_SP2_EN

Does anyone know how I can get this ImageCLASS D780 installed?

Is there a way I can copy the drivers from my daughter's computer onto a CD? Maybe that would work. But where would I find the drivers on her machine?

Thanks so much

    Thanks and Semper Fi.

Actually I went to the Canon Canada support page and found the drivers there. Downloaded them and installed the D780. It's working fine.

    Thank you for your help.

The Canon printers arrive with CD for driver installation. It is done to help the customers to connect the printer and computer easily. The CD offers the best way to quickly access the software required for printing. For information regarding the Canon Printer Customer Service, you can visit our site @https://www.canon-printer-customer-servi...

I just checked on the Canon USA site here, and selected Wndows XP as the OS. The driver presented shows Windows Vista in the file name (D700_PrtDriverV110_WinVista_EN.exe), but the next screen shows that it is compatible with Windows 2000, Windows XP, and Windows Vista. I would try uninstalling (if it is installed) whatever driver you currently have installed for your D780, then download and install this driver. Leave the unit turned off until the installation program asks you to connect/turn it on.

Where do I find a Win7 compatible driver for my Canon Imageclass d780?

Go to the Canon website - www.usa.canon.com and search for the driver there.

If you cannot find it, then more than likely Canon has chosen not to support the printer on this operating system. Your next best option would be to look for a generic Canon driver from within the Windows Driver list.
