Chamberlain CLT1D Remote Problems

Programmed garage door openers with this remote. Openers are Chamberlain brand and I believe had to push button 11 times to program code. Openers are the same and have a learn button. I had to reverse all dip switches in remote to program 2nd door otherwise both doors operated at the same time with each button. Problem is that the doors now raise and lower "on their own". Could be someone else's remote in the area, I guess. How can I reprogram mine to avoid this.

Its very possible for someone esle to have your code I would say try two things. The first thing is too check your wall button wire shake it is a little make sure there are not cuts or staples in the wire its self cause it to short out and run. Then change your codes is pretty easy on the back of the opener unit its self there are the dip switchs you will most likly need a step stool. Just move 2 or so of the dip switchs and then move the same ones on your remote. On your remote the dip switchs should be undernether the batter cover

How do you replace battery in chamberlain remote, garage door model 2487355

Do you have the Chamberlain 248735S garage door opener? Chamberlain doesn't have a 2487355 garage door opener; there are the 248735 and 248735S openers.

Most of the Chamberlain remotes are simple to open. Use the visor clip or a flat blade screwdriver to pry the two parts of the remote housing apart. There should be an open space on one edge of the short sides of the remote where you can insert the blade to begin separating the remote housing. Once started, you may be able to separate the rest of the housing by pulling the two sections apart with your hands. See page 32 of the user manual to see a picture of the separated remote or http://support.chamberlain.com/articles/How_To/How-do-I-remove-and-replace-the-battery-in-my-remote-control-1484145519292/?q=change+battery+in+remote&l=en_US&c=Brand%3AChamberlain&fs=Search&pn=1 for the procedure. Replace the battery with a 2032 coin cell battery, if you have the 248735S. Replace the battery with the correct replacement coin cell battery for other garage door opener models. Make sure that the side of the battery with the + faces the section of the remote housing with the buttons. The manual for the 248735S is currently here: https://www.chamberlain.com/CatalogResourcesV3/en-us/shared/files/tucmanuals/114A4256.pdf . Support and manuals for other models of Chamberlain garage door openers can be found from their support page: https://www.chamberlain.com/parts-and-support .

I hope this helps.

How to progam a sears electrontc add on garage door opener to in car hand ld transmiter

First you have to make sure you have the correct transmitter (remote). Each year Chamberlain Group (who makes the Sears Brand Openers) changes their technology and the learn button colors change, which means the remotes change. They are not all compatible. You can get the current 895MAX Remote and it is downward compatible for all of the openers. If you have the correct remote, you should be able to press the learn button, then one of the buttons on the remote and it should program. If not, you probably have an incompatible remote.

My chamberlaain security + garage door openers

well your main PC board inside of the opener head could have lost the frequency, or the unit memory has been erased, try to reprogram the remotes by going to the back of the opener head and locating the "learn" button which is either red, green, or purple in color. press the learn button then ONE button on ONE remote, pressing multiple buttons or pressing both remote buttons at the same time will not allow them to be programed successfully. after programing test by pushing the same button you just programmed, repeat for other remotes, and if this process did not work than you will need to contact chamberlain

Can only program one remote

You have a remote or keypad that has reverted to an earlier technology. You need to eliminate the bad unit and the others will program. Sears is made by Chamberlain which also makes Liftmaster and several privately branded openers.
