Is it okay to use glass whistler tea kettle on ceramic stove top range

I've seen mixed results across the internet on this one. From personal experience, for some reason, my glass teapot left some sort of stain on my ceramic stovetop. It also took longer to heat. I then went out and bought a simple metal one and have been pretty satisfied. If cosmetics are a concern, it's not too difficult a step to pour the water into your teapot after the fact, right?

Breville tea kettle won't turn on

anon.nick-20625 was right.

Opened the bottom of the kettle, not the charging base, using the three odd screws.

Found the white trip switch, which was a white line in the socket which connects the kettle to the charging base. Pressed it with a screwdriver and it came out more. Tested the kettle, works!

Dead cuisinart electric tea kettle

Your tea kettle has a thermal fuse inside that more that likely got over heated, it happens all the time with irons, coffee makers, most small appliances that are electric. you have to take the bottom off to find it and replace it. does it have an indicator lamp?

My Mom was given an electric tea kettle as a gift for Christmas, therefore she does not have a receipt. While she had it plugged in one day waiting for the hot water, she noticed on the side of the pot,...

If the kettle was bought with a credit card, then you are in business because the statement will back up the purchase and the store would have a record and would have to comply. But! if the gift was bought with cash it will be difficult to prove, still I would bring it back to the store and ask for the manager, the last thing they want is bad publicity, especially when you show the condition of the electric tea kettle and what it could mean for the store's reputation, you may be surprised with the results.

How to clean the inside of tea pot (scale deposits)?

Vinegar is very good at removing scaly deposits. Heat white/clear vinegar just as you would normally heat the water for your tea. After heating the vinegar, pour out and rinse thoroughly with water. If there are still deposits after this first attempt, use vinegar once again. Once you are satisfied that all the deposits have been removed, heat water in the tea pot 2-3 times to remove any smell or taste from the vinegar (before using for tea).
