I've had the same fault 3 times now in the last 3 weeks."Door" flashing fault.Firstly,the engineer replaced the door lock. Fault occurred again a week later,so he replaced PCB board,but fault has now occurred again. Your help would be very much appreciated.

You can short the door switch and it will stay activated BUT the DANGER is that it will be available to be opened at any time specially after the water has loaded and if you accidentally open the water and clothes might flow out.

I suspect you have some loose connections or shorts in the wiring harness. I've had similar strange things happen with an Olds Bravada. Various transmission shifting problems, faults, etc. that all seemed to come from the engine's computer system getting incorrect voltages and readings due to wiring faults/shorts.

Since the door locks and then unlocks - I am afraid it is the circuit board at fault. It just doesn't sound like a fault with the door interlock system.

DL f is a door lock error and is caused due to an issue with the door lock when it is unable to lock/unlock. Please check the door lock mechanism/door switch assembly and replace the part that has gone bad so that the issue is resolved. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

This is obviously a door lock/switch assembly failure. The fault code FdL flashes if the door locking routine fails, after six attempts, to lock the door. You should hear the door lock clicks six times before the fault code flashes. Replacing the door lock/switch assembly is the only viable solution and it's a do-it-yourself repair. You only need a pair of needle-nose pliers to stretch the door gasket retaining hoop and a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws securing the door lock/switch assembly to the front panel. 'dl' + 'F' stands for Door Lock + Fault. There is likely to be a problem with either the door solenoid/lock or the 'door closed' sensor. Both require a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

The'DL' symbol indicates there is a problem with the door lock. Either the locking solenoid or the door lock sensor is malfunctioning and requires attention. Sorry- Service call!

PS my daughter and fiance call me 'superjohn'- at the age of almost 70!

If the door locked light is flashing , then the main board probably has a fault on it, due to a problem with the motor, or the board itself being faulty.
Recommend calling an engineer.
