There are two possible reasons for the color change that I know about. One is simple to fix: a loose video cable. Check that the cable is correctly and tightly seated to both the monitor and the computer. Try a new cable. (If the cable is permanently connected to the monitor, check the computer side of the connection. The cable screws can tighten the connector to the port.)

The other possibility is that the monitor backlight is failing. There are places that sell replacement backlights ( lcdparts.net is one vendor). Unfortunately, you need to take apart the monitor to get the size for the backlights for your monitor. The backlights are usually on the edge sandwiched into the LCD panel and hardware.

This happens when there is a delay from your A/V device to your television. Instead of outputting the sound from the TV, try taking the audio cables from your A/V device and instead of running them to the TV, run them you your audio amplifier. This should solve your problem.

You're using dual monitors and one is black? If so-- when you switch the cables on the monitors.. the same monitor stays black? This sounds like bad monitor. If I understand you right.

Could you check your SyncMaster 2233 for me and tell me your findings. If this monitor is connected from your computer and when both switch on, did the led indication lamp from your monitor lit steady green? or this lead indication lamp lit green then turns red?

1. If the led indication lamp lit steady green then there is nothing wrong with the settings, configurations, driver or hardware on your computer. The problem would be the backlight inverter lamp in your monitor is busted. Or it could be the inverter board that supplies high voltage for the backlight inverter lamp that is bad. You can replace the backlight inverter lamp located at the upper and lower part of the monitor with a replacement part you can purchase at shoppejimmy.com. Inverter board repair can be risky if you don't have the skill. Even opening the back cover of your monitor and replace by yourself the inverter lamp is risky too, could inflict more damage. you can bring it to a local professional service man.

2. If the led indication lamp lit green then turns red, then if not the video card the power supply section from your monitor is bad, you can replace polarized capacitor with same value. Just inspect and those with blown or leaking capacitor. You can also check the terminals and solder joints for the 15-pin vga terminal connector where vga cable is connected on your monitor. Resolder the terminals.

3. If the red indication lamp did not lit at all. Power supply section in the monitor is bad. You can check the output voltage from the power supply section. +5VDC is supplied for the main board and +24VDC is for the inverter board. Replace leaking or blown capacitor with same value.

Just remember, this should be done when computer and monitor is turn off

First turn off game mode if on if not fixed afterward then look for upgrade on firmware.

check that have you installed usb drivers for you rphone

in your mon there will be small left arror image in box called enter button,,,,if u press that button its shows analog and digital in that have to choose digital.....

I just had the same problem. I returned it to currys and got an exchange because I thought there was somethink wrong with the surround sound itself. I have just tried , and left for ages as it goes out of sync gradually as you said ,the red/white cables (rca , i think it's called)and it works perfectely. You can find the wire for quite cheap just type it in google.
