It sounds like it may have an incorrect setting for the phone. This
is the 1-4 in the side of your base. The number that configures to your
phone should be listed at the 3:00 o'clock position. Most phones are used
on 1. Here is a link to the User's Guide, that may help. The only other
thing is it sounds like the battery is not really charging, which means that it is
a non-replaceable battery. In that case, you would have to buy a new headset.
