1997 Honda Accord SE not getting spark Have replaced distrib., rotor, cap and rotor, wires, ignition swith checked ignition fuse located in fuse box on pasenger side under the hood. Starter turns engine over but there is no spark. If I try long enough sometimes the car will start and then after warming it up will start fine until I let it sit for several hours and then it won't start. When it's cold it doesn't seem to be getting spark.

1986 honda civic not getting spark

Ignition coil or Igniter (ignition module), likely one is failed. First check for battery voltage on the B+ primary wire on the coil. If voltage there, may be the coil (also check distrib. cap and rotor for wear or cracks). If no voltage to the coil, might be the igniter.

My 91 honda accord is not getting fire to the spark plugs

Check you ignition coil. Pull off the single wire and hold a screwdriver tip about 1/4" away from the place it plugs into. Have someone crank the engine and look for spark from the coil to the screwdriver. Do not hold on to the metal part of the screwdriver. It may shock you if it is working.electricdime.jpg.

Igniter

A spark plug "ignites" the fuel air mixture inside the engine. Follow the thick wires from your distributor cap to your engine to find your spark plugs.
