I HAVE DCR-TRV140E PAL HANDYCAM.ITS CASSETTE IS STUCK AND DOES'T COME OUT.WHEN I PLUG IN AC CHARGER THERE IS BEEP SOUND COMES AND SOME LITTLE NOISE COME FROM INSIDE LIKE SOMETHING TRYING TO EJECT THE CASSETTE BUT ITS NOT WORK.I SEARCHED ON GOOGLE AND TRIED THEIR SOLUTIONS BUT IT DID'T WORK.PLEASE GUIDE ME

This is not a monster you wanna open and play with as I've seen this puppy and its loaded with flex cables connecting all the differant pcb's together. You wanna take this or send out to a camcorder specialist please. You also need a special set of these cables to work on this unit as well as a few special service jigs. Good Luck

there is no solution in sony europe.

SOURCE: problems with playing cassettes recorded on a hi8 camera

DCR TRV140E is a Digital8 camera
CCD TRV87E is a Hi8 camera,
(Hi8 is an analog format)
the tapes are the same size, wont help, the recording systems are not compatible
send them to a lab service ?maybe if there are only a few
or ebay a Hi8 camera and transcode them yourself

its not a solution, at least it clarifies the problem
