Pull the machine out and tilt it on its back. The flood switch or "Aqua Stop" has been triggered due to a water leak.
If you have removed the left side panel you will be able to view the Water Fill Chamber which is a plastic container on the side of the machine where the water fills throough. You will also see a round phoam disk on the bottom of the machine near the front left side. This has a red floater arm which rises up and triggers a flood micro switch if the bottom tray gets filled up with water.
Once you have emptied the water by tilting machine on its back you can connect and test machine with side panels off. Note when emptying water make sure you throw plenty of towls on the floor.
When testing machine closely observe the fill chamber on the left side of the machine. If the water flow is irregular this fill chamber will overflow. Normally caused by buildup of algae inside the fill chamber. I have also seen big cockroaches lodged in there and they interupt the water intake flow.
If the machine fills up alright then observe the internals while it is in the wash cycle and see if you can pinpoint where the leak is from. Also clear the cycle during wash cycle and observe the drain or outlet hose while it is draining. Sometimes the drain hose gets ruptured.
Good luck.

Hello Phillip,
The reason only the pump runs anytime its powered up is because the flood detector has detected water in the base of the dishwasher and until that water is gone only the pump will run. That flood detector is (when looking at it from the front) is in the left front corner, its a styrofoam disc with a rod in the center of it and has floated up activating the flood switch on the letf side wall where the water enters the tub (can be seen on the left side with side panel removed) if thier is no water in the base frame perhaps some foreign object has wedged itself under the sytrofoam disc holding it up. Until the water is out of the base frame only the pump will run as long as the flood switch is tripped.
Possible things that will make water be in the base frame are,
oversuds from too much detergent
a leak of any component or hose
a defective water level switch allowing it to overfill
