The projector does not power up. Is there a fuse I can change? How can I troubleshoot the power supply? Thanks
My 4805 made a loud pop noise and smoke and died.
I thought it the bulb and wasted $340 on that purchase.
They are subject to overheating and the main circuit board may be fried.
It cost me $50 for a tech to confirm my suspicons of the same.
Look at the main circuit board and you might idenify a scorched
overheated area.. My shop told me you can purchase a new main
board.. Diagnosed by no power to the bulb...

We were in a party last night and am supposed to show a Powerpoint presentation using my 4805. After making the connections, when the 4805 was powered on, there was a spark/smoke at the point where the power cable touches the DVI cable - it burnt the cover exposing the aluminum coaxial. (FYI, we did a dry run of the presentation in a different location and there was no problem). The laptop then failed to start and the 4805 turns on (you could feel the fan) but the lamp is off as well as the LED.
We tried looking for a fuse thinking it was burnt and we couldn't find one. The manual and drawings also do not show any fuse anywhere. Can I still save my 4805?
