Idle valve is not working

have you check your freon charge? a/c cluthc fuse and relay? computer needs to see a load signal to raise your idle if circuit is not complete won act.

i had the same problem and all i did was put a new battery in and it fixed that problem but now mine has a high idle

You dont have any idle adjustments on any ford fuel injection engine since about 1988..There is a ajustment on the throttle body that looks kinda of like a adjustment But DONT adjust it..Its a throttle adjustment and set at the factory,,and its crucial to stay wheres it at for your engine management to work..If your having idle problems its probably the idle air control

I dont whats so hard if you are asking the right people? try any GM dealer. I dont have access right now, but I dont think a Trailblazer HAS a IAC valve.

Clean your fast idle thermo valve (fitv) if that dont Work try cleaning idle Air control valve (iacv) you can go to google images to see where they are located on the intake manifold if you dont know And also if you dont know you can search google on how to clean these parts. Slightly dirty fitv was my problem cleaned it no prob. Since.

try cleaning the throttle body.that will definatly affect your idle. if it still does it look on throttle body for an air bypass screw i dont know if a 04 has one but all the older ones did.it will be a screw head that is recessed in a holeit may have a rubber plug on top of it. anyway if it does give it a couple turns out and see if idle goes up then adjust to whatever it says on the emmision label.
DONT mess with the scew that adjusts the throttle stop once out of adjustment you wont be able to put it back

While at the river try to adjust the fuel air mixture. When you are on the water it puts the engine under a load and if that dont work then dont be afraid to bump up the idle stop screw slightly.

The computer controls the ide...after a jump it needs at time up to 15 mins to reset idle i can only sugest driving it 15 mins and if computer dont kick in on idle...then u have a computer problem in Car

To clean the throttle body disconnect the air tube running form the air box to throttle body and use Carbon cleaner. Read direction on can. Also clean EGR valve since this does control idle if it is carbon up it will cause the small valve on the inside to stick open causing rough idle and or stalling out at idle use the same cleaner.
