If the handwheel can be used to turn the machine and it rotates fairly easily, you probably need a new motor.
If it doesn't turn easily, lubricate as directed in the owner's manual. If it doesn't free up, find an authorized repair center @ http://webservices.us.vsmgroup.com/DealerLocator.aspx?Brand=Viking

Why does my 936 serger keep showing overloaded ?

My suspicion is that Viking sergers (905, 910, 936) bind up after heavy use and years of service. In other words, they are not "lubricated for life". Can you turn the handwheel on the machine? If not (or if extremely hard), you now know what the motor was dealing with. My guess is the motor is burned out, but you need both a total overhaul of the main shaft bearing system (cleaning the bearing and relubrication), and, a new motor.
I probably should consider repairing sewing machines in my retirement.

Sewing machine will do a few stitches and then lock up. I get the LO error message

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top and bobbin
clean under the needle plate and in the bobbin area lint
make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly and also that the bobbin
is turned the right way in the bobbin holder.
or the machine may need to be checked to see if a part has some
thing wrong with it

Husqvarna 936 overlockmachine, says overloaded and wont sew. what can I dotoget it started again?

What are you trying to do? It will say overloaded usually if the fabric is too think that your trying to serge on, sometimes just tapping on the foot after you have let off it will let you resume, otherwise, yes, take the fabric out and start again.

States Overloaded. What does that mean?

The shaft is getting stiff and motor can't turn it. Try taking the bottom off and cleaning the fuzz out. Use alittle oil on all of the joints.

Huskylock 936 error code

This will also occur if the "needles" and "loopers" lock up as though threads are tangled and binding the machine. If needles and loopers move freely when manually turning the handwheel counter clockwise, you probably need to take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service. You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com

Good luck.

Hi there, my husqvarna 936 is jamming slightly when i turn the hand wheel and when i use the pedal it works but their is a load catching noise can you help me plz

Hello, The first thing to do with a serger is to change the needles and take the thread off the machine and rethread it. The 936 can sometimes "fight" you a little when it comes to getting the needles up in all the way. It's critical that they are inserted all the way up in the needle clamp. Check to also make sure the N/R lever is in the N position. Check the needle plate, are the "needle like" pins still attached to the plate? If your serger jammed, sometimes the thread breaks the pin supports out of the plate. They are very important when it comes to stitch formation.

Husky Lock 936 - Description of ths foot and wht its used for

This is your Multipurpose foot. I'm looking in the manual that accompanied by 2000 936, and 'm seeing it under accessories and again under Flatlock with multipurpose foot instructions. Unfortunately, the manual does not include the foot number.
