HTC Tilt When I put my sim card in the phone it tells me "Sim Card Missing" and When I put the sim card in another phone it works fine.

    I have the same problem with my HTC Diamond, It sais "SIM Card missing" althoug the simcard works fine in other phones (i have tried 5 different simcards - so there is nothing wrong with the SIM Card. I also have tried to change the software (ROM and Radio and SPL) and still its the same problem. Does anybody have a guess ??

    This could be faulty prongs at the Sim card slot

When i put my sim card in a at&t tilt phone it tells me to enter a sim block code. when i enter my puk number it tells me its invalid. what code should i enter

    Sim blocked usually the same as network blocked contact original carrier of phone they should be able to help sometimes u can submit requests online and it processes within 24 hours

"Sim Card is Missing"
This is not a big issue, what you need to do is to just upgrade the OS of your handset, actually your current OS is corrupt either due to some malfunctioning or due to some file you have tried to download from the web. Just simply check the latest OS available and replace it with your current one. I hope your issue will be resolved after doing this.

Sounds like you are replacing the SD card, not the SIM card. The SIM is underneath the battery. It's a small white rectangle missing a corner.

My phone won't display contacts or calendar, and shows no service. I can't dial out or receive calls. Internet works, music player works.
It seems that the SIM card is damaged or not inserted properly. You need to contact your mobile service provider.

HTC Tilt (Trouble Reading SIM Card)
I posted a little too early. There was one other trick I've used and I guess I should have started with that. The problem is indeed related to the SIM not getting enough downward pressure on the contacts to be recognized.

So I took a small strip of paper, about 3/8" by 1 1/4". I folded it three times. When you fold it one end will be closed and the other end will have the two edges of the paper that can open up. Using the open end will make it harder to slide under the bracket. So you will want to take the closed end and gently side it above the SIM card underneath the silver metal bracket that holds the SIM in place.

I used a post-it note as the paper but anything will do. It was working with just a double thickness but I wanted to be sure so I moved up to three layers. Depending on the tolerances of your phone you might be able to only do double layer and still be able to slide it in. Or you might need to go to four layers.

I hope this solves it for you.

Sim card missing for htc touch p3450
its a hard ware issue try putting a piece of paper over ur sim card to press it against the pins on the phone sometimes it gets loosen and does not detect sim cards or try restting the device as follows else go for service centre help but try these solutions first

hard rest factory default settings = when ur set is switched off press both buttons call and end key and then press power button on upside of pda for like 5 sec screen will appear asking to format all data take out ur card if u dont want to format that now confirm by pressing the centre action button in 4 side joystick and go

How can tell if mt ATT Tilt is unlocked?
Samsung never made a phone with the model of Tilt but HTC did however come out with a phone called HTC 8925 Tilt. If it is unlocked you will be able to place any sim card from any provider in the phone and it will be able to make and recieve calls. However if it is not an ATT sim card it will not be able to access the Internet or Picture messaging unless you set it up. There are a few sites out there that offer unlock codes based upon your phone model and IMEI but none are free for this type of phone.

HTC Touch - NO SIM
Make sure that the type of SIM you are using is compatible to the phone in the first place and that it is definately not defective.

If there is a fault, it may be the SIM socket in the phone, or a hardware failure between the socket and the internal processor system of the phone.
