First, in order to pair the iPad to a Bluetooth device you need to make sure the Bluetooth device is discoverable. Refer to the instruction manual for the device (which you can find online usually if you lost it) on how to do this. Typically, it just involves holding down a button for a few seconds. Next, you need to turn the iPad's Bluetooth capability on. Go to Settings by touching the Settings App icon that looks like gears. Within Settings, select General and then Bluetooth. Once you are in the Bluetooth screen, press the on/off switch to turn Bluetooth on. Make sure it reads "on".
