We turned our tv off for like 3 hours went to turn back on and red light turned blue like it was going turn on but screen stayed black then speaker made a noise and light went back to red. It did that 28 times before the light just stayed red. Whats wrong with it?

The device sources and the inputs have not been set to the correct mod.There could be a problem with the TV it's self for it to be turning off like a problem with the power supply for the TV.

most likely a capacutor has blown or it just lost the signal. try unplugging all connections while powered off the replug the power on. hopes this works. if it dsoes please rate with a comment

This unit should still be under warranty and should be taken in for warranty service. Any attempt to access the interior will void the warranty. It is important that a complete description of the problem like you entered here be taken along when you bring the set in for service. This will insure that the servicer be able to reproduce the problem and resolve it.

From your description (and as a servicer), I would be looking for a component that is heat sensitive. These types of problems are fairly easy to locate and resolve.

Please take this in for warranty service and update this when you find out the details.

Since you don't have any white lines with the red screen/picture I would say that the red bulb (CRT) is conducting too much. There is an adjustment control for that. The 'sceen' control is behind the speaker cover and service cover. Turn red screen control slightly to the left until you get a good black and white picture.

that kind of problem needs a tech right away.

I doubt that it is the optical assy. it sounds more like a chassis problem either on the DM or the FMT board.

I have the same problem on my 32 in,after having the Tv on for about 3 hours Tv turns off, every 10-20 min. tv turns off. very upset with DELL. , blue light stays on.... what can i do to fix promblem.......

Your lamp has most likely blown out. that is what happened to mine and once I replaced the bulb it worked just fine. this is one of the cheaper stores to find a replacement bulb, www.bluestar-online.com
