I changed something on my computer so it logged out of skype for me. now when i want to log back in i cant because skype keeps telling me that my skype name and password dont register. after trying 5 different passwords i still am unable to login to skype. please help me!!

Probably not. If it doesn\'t load at all or is not in the directory something has been corrupted and/or lost somewhere. This is not a problem at all. Simply go back to the SKYPE web page and redownload. It will reinstall and once done will allow you to either create a new account or log in with your old name and password. All of your stuff will be there when you log back in as You.

my best guesses
1.try clicking on the skype shaped bubble at the top left of the page next to your skype account and change the color to green.
2.if that does not work log out of skype and log back in.
3.try making sure your audio and microphone are working correctly
4.check system time and if your computer time is not correct it could be the problem.
5. uninstall and re install Skype

is it an older version of skype? just uninstall and then reinstall the application again.see if it is solved or post here.tell me your computer's configuration also

To reload Skype on your computer just go to http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/get-skype/on-your-computer/windows/

When you complete the download for Skype please install the program.

After installing Skype you can now run the program by double clicking the icon that was created, or go to your "All Programs" folder under START.

It will prompt you to create a new log in, but there is a small button that says "I Already Have An Account" Click that to allow yourself to log into your old account.

I cant get onto facebook it tells me that its unavailable or cant be found and behind it its downloading something. Can anyone help please.

Open the WebRoot "control panel".
Enable the "firewall-logging" at its highest level.
View and then clear the old "firewall-log".
Then, try to use Skype.
Again, view the current "firewall-log".
Any entries in the log indicate that the firewall has blocked something, namely the Skype TCP/IP traffic.

Signing in to skype requires changing some data on your computer (minor skype files on preferences, remembering your log-in, etc.) Depending on the version of windows, you will not be able to sign in

You need to delete the folder that holds your account information for Skype.
I can be found in: C:\Documents and Settings\<winuser>\Application Data\Skype\<skypename> for XP or, C:\Users\<winuser>\AppData\Roaming\Skype\<skypename> for Vista

I just deleted any user account folder I saw, reopened, logged in...worked fine.
