Make sure that your speaker wires are not touching and setting off the fuse.

My klh audio receiver modle r5100 it turns off when i turned it on how do i fix it

If it powers on for about 3-5 seconds then shuts off it likely has shorted output transistors. Contact a service center as that is not an easy repair.

Have the KLH ASW10-120 Powered Subwoofer and it is blowing fuses

If it stays on for 3 seconds then it probally is not the transformer. However it may very well be the power amp no way to tell untill we operate. Call Pro Line Music 215-736-8055

KLH Receiver Shorting Out

See if you can spot a pattern to the failures. I suspect that it is heat related. In the time that the unit ran all day, I suspect that the volume level was lower. Am I correct? If so, then either there are poor solder connections which are being effected by heat or there is a part that is defective. Are there any other symptoms or does the unit just shut off? If you attempt to turn it on, will it play for a while? If you can solder, look for solder connections that look grainy or have rings and resolder them.

Keep us posted on your progress,

Turns off when i turn it up

Does it power back up after it shuts down, if it does power back up it is unlikely it is an internal fuse, you would need to replace the fuse if that was the issue, could be an amplifier overload, check the demand your speakers require in watts, and be sure the right ohm speakers are being used, many receiver will display "overload protection"and shut down, and some just un-power to prevent a electical short from occuring.

Audio system turns off

Wires are touching somewhere (speaker wires)... Usually, the wires neg. and positive wires running to one speaker are touching... The receiver automatically detects this and emergently powers off...

Klh home receiver problems

It is not a fuse problem, when a fuse is gone does not start at all.
It is probably the final amp circuit, there is a faulty IC in there that overheats after few seconds and the unit goes off by itself.

Sub won't stay powered up

well if your getting sound out of your surround speakers then the sub is busted, if your getting no sound at all then your speaker input's are either bad or out... i would test the speaker inputs...

Klh r5100 turns itself off after a few seconds

It is over heating. Mine did the same thing. Make sure you have plenty of breathing room for it
