I have a Sylvania LC427SSX. The color is so light in color and almost shows as a negative picture. Peoples faces are blue. The screen is really bright white. Gray menu when trying to check the settings. There is no contrasting or brightness setting problem. There might have been water damage from a leak in the house but I cant find anything showing if it touched the tv.

if the audio works then the inverter board would be suspect. If audio doesnt work either then the main board would be suspect. You can get replacement boards from www.tvcircuitboards.com
Hi, It seems back light inverter is not working for some reason, either it is not getting volts from power supply board or got bad itself. Please check with local tv repair shop for replacement back light inverter board. Thanks.

The most common problem for this complaint is contaminatedcoolantfor the picture tubes. If you look
directly into the three picture tubes you will probably see a haze in the blue
one. This is fairly common but requires aknowledgeableservice man to take care of.
it shows a screen of blue, then a screen of red and then other colors? It may be in demo/service mode. Not sure of the key combination to exit this mode...
if you have a Sony LCD projection ..Theres good chance optical block needs replacing .This spot will get bigger and will eventually cover most of screen the longer you use it .needs repair. If there is no warranty on this unit..I would estimate repair around 6- 8 hundred dollars ..
