I have the Thomson Lyra PDP2842 and jus today the thing won't turn on and will give me this error message: "bad or missing lyra_sys folder. must update the lyra HD system files" ... The thin gis I don't know how to do this, I've tried everything the lyra software gives me but nothing will help me. Thanks
Hi Remember to put HD on SLAVE or DEVICE01 on jumpering! Than instal firmware updated! GG
I am having the exact same problem as the OP. I know that this thread is old but if anyone else finds this thread and doesn't know what to do, the e-mail address for the manufacturer is [email protected] - the error seems to be related to the program in the Lyra so if you are still within your guarantee you should see results from the vendor or manufacturer.
Try using the firmware for rca rd 2850
This is because the system files don`t sit on a seperate chip on the printed circuits, ALL the files reside on the LYRA harddrive, so if you are going to format that drive make sure you copy the system files over to the PC drive in a folder like "LYRA" so that once you have formatted you can reinstall the operating/file system.Oh also the file system is NOT FAT32 it`s just FAT.
Sounds like you lost the files on your hard drive??? have you tryed to do a format recently?? if you did theres a way to only do the data files and not the system files and Ive seen it alot where the syste files are lost forever because of a mostake made while trying to clean a system.. Your best bet if they the manufacturer didnt give ya a backup disk 9and Im surprised they dont.) is to contact the manufacturer andd tell them what you did and see if they can assist you. you should still have your owners manual and thats where you look for the manufacturer and where to call or e-mail Good Luck
