I have a Bulova Caravelle mens wrist watch case number C877548. I have to replace the battery but I can't figure out how to get the back of the case off. Thanks

It is a quality watch. Contact Bulova direct, and get it serviced as well, replace gaskets etc.

Caravelle watches to begin are garbage . Get a Timex if you need a cheap watch it will last you longer.

You defenately need a watch case opener.

It can be more than difficult to open a watch case with a sharp knive/screwdriver without destroying it.

A case opener can be the only solution.

Otherwise you'll have to bring your watch to a professional to get the battery replaced.

Most of the time you can find the serial and or model number on the first link that is attached to the case of the watch on the back. Often there is a serial number on the back of the case itself. If not in any of these locations you may have to open the case and look on the inside of the case. Be careful with opening case, if you're not comfortable opening the case yourself take it to a reputable jeweler.
If there are no serials on the watch it is probably a knockoff or replica.

(paste this link into your search engine box) and you will arrive at the Boluva web site. There you will see a box lebelled "operating instructions'' which you can download.

Serial numbers are generally on the back of the watch.

You may be able to find two or three numbers on the watch.

A case number, a movement number and a serial number.Alternatively you might find a style number (which in your case is 26B44) and a serial number.

Pull the stem out 2 clicks the in 1 click turn stem clockwise for day and counter-clockwise for month. to set time pull stem out again 1 click, when finish push in 2 clicks

You need to push the pins out in the direction of the arrows. Then take out one link from each side. Put the pins back in the same way they came out, with the slot pointing the same direction as before.
