I have Creative Model SBS 2.1 370. I am facing atruble that Right channel of the main woofer is not operating ie no output only I receiving sound from Left Channel . And Volume Control of This model is not opearting smoothly. Either the Vol Ctrl. is scratchy or something else. Plz provide me some Solution

A 5.1 sound card will give output in all channels only if the audio being played is also 5.1.

Normally out of 6 Speakers only 2 front and sub woofer will play sound, in case of a DVD or Movie which has 5.1 encoding, all 5 will come alive.

Also, Dolby Prologic II and Dolby Digital will convert a 2 channel input into psudo 5.1 enviornment but Dolby has to be in hardware or speakers or Receiver.

Follow these steps to connect a powered sub woofer to your receiver: You typically have two options when connecting a powered sub woofer. Input (1) on the rear of the sub woofer would be used when connecting the sub woofer to the receiver using speaker wires. You would then connect the main speakers to the opposite end, or output or the sub woofer to the main speakers. Option (2) would be using RCA line level output jacks, input (2) on the rear panel of the sub woofer directly to the single sub woofer output on the back of an AV receiver.

This is coz of one carbon track of dual potmeter gone bad due to prolonged use.

The Creative SBS 370 Works on 11.5V AC (IT IS NOT DC) 1600mA (Means 1.6 Ampere) and 18.4VA. So, the Power Adaptor which you connect to the power socket behind the woofer is an AC ADAPTOR and NOT A DC ACAPTOR.

Sound drivers are for the computer motherboard, you will not be able to find driver with SBS 230, as this is the model of the creative speakers you are using.\

If you are using a DELL, HP, Gateway or anyother brand of PC. Go to their website, e.g www.hp.com or www.dell.com.

Click on the drivers and softwares download section, type the model number or product number of your PC. You will find model number or product number on a sticker on the PC or the BIOS or the Invoice. Type the model number, the website will give you option to select the operating system, select the operating system you are using then click on Audio Driver, download and Install it.

Whts is the ohms of this woofer creative sbs 2.1 speakers?

configure ur PC (both OS audio and third party sound driver) for surround sounds. control panel- sounds and audio devices - speaker settings - advanced - speker settings. so this done. make sure u select the 6 input channel - the button is on the right edge near the volume knob. near the vol button there are two buttons for selecting input type with up down arrow. from that u can select the input type this will be indicated on the top front indicator. but with the 6 input channel selected all selections are preceeded. if u select stereo mode u will have left/ right audio only.
make sure u connect the input right. connect from computer to 6 channel input. main, surround, center and sub-woofer.  connect the spekers to main (L/R), rear(surround) (L/R), center and sub woofer to terminal marked sub woofer ouput. this done select like i said before the 6 channel button. that should do it.

A weak conection inside speaker or other conections.

1. connect:Both Ground (copper wires) with Green wire
2. Connect Red with Blue and
3. Connect White with Yellow
This will give Stereo Output.

connect them to the front left and right outputs.connecting them to the sub-woofer will give poor sound because it only pick's up bass sounds during playback
