I can not get the media manager for it to bring up music. Also, should I download a WMA for it to convert. Mine says on the packaging to download the Coby Media Manager but it came with no software. Not sure what installed, it said device manager installed successfully but it won't do anything. It says to turn it on and then plug in the USB but when I do it just shows the USB picture.

Coby Media Manager is embedded on the MP3 player. When the MP3 player is connected to your PC, that is all it will say is 'USB Connected'. To access the coby media manager, go to Start > Computer > It will be a 'Removable Disk' drive, double click it, inside of there will be a coby-mediamanager.exe file, this is the software, double click it to install it. It will put an ICON on your desktop, this software is what you use to sync music, photo or video to your MP3 player. If you need the Coby Media Manager - you can downlod from here: http://www.cobyusa.com/files/software/MP707_Media_Manager.zip

Have mp3/wma player will not download songs from computer all songs on computerin wma mode

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto yourcomputer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

Remove DRM from WMV WMA

What is DRM? Why do we remove DRM from WMA WMV? Have you download music and video from Windows Media Player, iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, bearshare, Spiral Frog, BBC iPlayer downloads? These popular music and movie download programs among the music fans always come with a disgusting word - 'DRM'.
DRM (Digital Rights Management) - The anti consumer copy protection that prevents you from using music or movies in a way that suits you. For example, if a WMA or WMV you downloaded from WMP(windows media player) that has DRM, you can only play it back on a compatible device, so if every piece of music had DRM on it you would need to buy the same track on CD to listen in your CD player or car, as an iTunes download to play on your iPod, as a ms store download to play on your Zune etc, but since you paid for it once you shouldn't be forced to pay for it again and again and again, remove DRM license from WMA WMV and other protected files then you can play the music video on phone, iPod, Zune, PSP, CD player, pc, burn DRM protected WMV files to DVD and copy drm protected wmv itunes m4v movie files to anything else that you can listen to music video on.
How to remove DRM from WMA WMV? I got a few methods listed below:
1. Burn and rip
Actually, there is a common free method to remove DRM from WMA with 2 steps, Step 1 Burn the protected WMA to a CD
Step 2 Rip them off to your computer, then the DRM should be removed from the WMA files.
But it's not very convenient and may wear out your CR-ROM. And windows media player can only burn and rip the WMA (or you will need DVD copy and DVD ripper for other formats).
2. Re-record
One of the most common and simple technology is recording the DRM protected WMA then use an ordinary converter to convert the recorded and unprotected files. Because this technology is easy to realized and easy to support more DRM formats besides protected WMA it is welcomed by most of the DRM converters like the SoundTaxi, NoteBurner , etc.
But there are some disadvantages for those programs.
1. The conversion speed won't get much improvement due to the long recording process.
2. Much audio and video quality could be lost during the recording process.
3. Hook
Hook is another new and more complicated technology which can be used to remove DRM license from protected WMA WMV files. Comparing with recording process, these sorts of drm removal have much higher conversion speed, but it's hard to make it support some DRM formats with new and lofty encrpytion tachniques.
And as far as I know, Aimersoft was one of its supporters. After giving a test for some free trials I found it is convenient to crack DRM from protected WMA WMV files with Aimersoft Media Converter, and it also supports other formats conversion like AAC, AC3, WAV, M4A, M4b, MP3, etc.

Can i put my i-tunes library on my samsung mp3 player

Yes and No...
Yes you can put the music on your Samsung from Itunes but each song must be converted to WMA instead of ACC.
Ipod/Itunes=ACC
Windows Media Player=WMA
Go to this website and download a free media converter and convert your ACC music to WMA music.

I cant download music

Go to RCA web site at http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/downloads.aspx?product=235 and download the latest firmware upgrade first. The new firmware allows your player to read .wma files you can drop and drag files to it or us media player to transfer the music to the player, you must note this player only plays .mpy or .wma files musicmatch was the only jukebox that could convert to mpy and it doesnt exist anylonger youll have to convert your mp3 to wma files then transfer them to your player or when you rip music, rip it in wma files to begin with

Installation disk came in the package broken - what to do??

The disc is read only it does nothing but give directions. Go to windows music player on your computer and sync your cds to E which will be your shaker.
It can only be mp3 format. ONLY MP3. Convert all your music to this format only using this website:
http://www.wma-mp3.org/
be patient the site is very busy
Even if your file has been renamed to a mp3 file it will not work until you convert the files.
I have 2 of these and had to do this with all my music. Then after conversion click and drag the songs.

Will not read the sandisk card

When RCA first came out with the Lyra series the only way to get music1.gif onto the device was by using musicmatch jukebox that would convert your mp31.gif file to mpy before downloading it to the device. But now RCA has come out with a new firm ware update for these mp3 players that improved the players playback quality plus enabled it to use .WMA files. so first go to RCA support http://support.rcaaudiovideo.com/select.aspx?u=downloads and find your player and download the firmware and drivers (if needed) upgrade and install to your player its very easy and instructions are at the same site. You can now convert your music to .wma or use the free Real player that will convert mp3 to wma1.gif at the kbps that you request before loading it on. If your music is all ready in wma format you can use windows media player to send the files to your player. One last thing the .wma files that you put on your Lyra player need to be at least 128kbps or higher enhanced playback quality of wma files (160 kbps to 256 kbps).
