Printer only prints in black/white. have put new

Could be the print job you send to the printer is set up to print in black and white.
Or the cartridges are full and the nozzles from the printhead are blocked.
Run a cleaning cycle on the printer. If some colour appears continue till all colours are back for all nozzles.
If you did not use he printer for a long time, remove the cartridges one by one and put a drop of cleaning fluid in the pipes in the cartridge holder (where the ink goes in) tun replace the cartridge and print one or two full sized colour photos, till all colours are back.

There's an option under your print setting for color or black and white. When you select to print a window will pop up. make sure that you have the color print selected. Hope this helps

if that doesnt work youll need to replace the cyan,get it refilled for less or order online to reduce cost

check expire date on cartridge
if it pass you need to replace them
with fresh one or refill the old ones

The black print head is clogged. The reason why the black is clogged and not the photo black or any colors is that the black is pigment ink and the photo black and colors are dye based ink. No you cannot. Each one of your cartridges is smart chipped. When this cartridge registers as empty it acts as an on/off switch thus turning the printer off.'

You need to replace the empty cartridge in order to print.

Go printer settings and check option to print only black.

Please check if your Colour Ink Cartridge is not emply. If their's ink in the cartridge then try to service your printer through the Print Preferences. Your Colour Cartridge Nozzels could have been blocked thats why your printer is unable to print in Colour.

In case if both the above doesn't work then check in the Print Preferences that you should not have saved the option of PRINT DOCUMENT IN BLACK ONLY. hope this helps , AJ

its ok I solved it! I didn't realise that all the photo cartridge does is gloss over the colour picture produced by the colour cartridge. I simply had to replace the colour cartridge which had run out, so now its all working perfectly!!

The black cartridge printhead needs to be cleaned or replaced. Follow your printer manual instructions.
