The problem concerns my Diesel DZ-4132. The minute hand of the stopwatch won't reset to 0/30 but only to 29. I'm wondering if ther is a way to set the minute hand back to the desired position.

I just figured this out. When you replace the batteries, there's the white plastic cover secured with two screws. Remove them and you'll see an area with two exposed 'pads' that says 'reset'. Simply touch them together with a paperclip, screwdriver or whatever and the watch starts right up. :)
your watch is chronograph,. and it is not in the picture. probably your problem is the second hand won,t move, it is because that the sub dial on the lower part it is the real second hand. the big second hand is for the stopwatch. the to sub dial on the upper sides of your watch. the upper button/bumper is to start and stop the stopwatch or the big second hand and the bottom bumper/button is to reset it. i hope this can solve the problem...
As jimmyguru said. 1. Pull the crown to the second position (all the way out) 2. Push and hold the reset button and allow the chronograph hand to rotate near the 12 o'clock position. 3. Release the reset button. 4. Repeatedly push and release the reset button to find tune the hand position until it is right at 12 o'clock. 5. Push the crown back in.
When you reset the big seconds hand to zero, the hour and the minute hand are not engaged in this function, so, there is no fault with the watch movement. Do as follows: 1) pull out crown and set the hour and minute hands at 6 o'clock (they must be lined perfectly in opposite directions) 2) push the crown in half way back (not completely) 3) push and hold the button at 2 o'clock (set the big seconds hand to zero) and release it when done 4) when big seconds hand is zeroed push the crown back in 5) pull the crown out again and set desired time 6) push the crown back in. If all actions described do not work, you will have to visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask to refit chronograph hand as in this case it is out of balance (not pointed at exact mark).
Try this: pull out crown to the first click, then push and hold button at 2 o'clock. When the hand is adjusted to the desired time, push the crown back in. If thi do not work, do the same using the button at 4 o'clock.
Unscrew the crown and pull out halfway. Use the stopwatch buttons to advance the hand to where you want it. Then push the crown back in and screw it down. You may need to pull the crown out all the way--I cannot recall which setting controls the minute hand and which the hour hand on the stopwatch function. This has to be done every time the battery is changed.
