I haven't seen a manual yet that shows you the fuel line route on a piece of equipment.. Generally its the most direct route from tank to carb to primer (if it has one)
MMM, the small carbs will be destroyed if soaked in a caustic cleaner, consider pricing out a new carb you might be surprised. Do some research on piston blow bye one a 2cycle engine before you spend any money. GOOD LUCK
Go to m-and-d.com then parts diagram then illustrated parts online then parts look up then select oem poulan then poulan then saw then look at list of models you will find 3400. Have worked on one or two of the 3400 and they seem to be a fairly good saw for home use.
Poulan does not give the settings but they do give a toll free number to contact if you need help and that is 1-800-554-6723. Sorry I couldnt get more but that is all I saw
I do not have a ring tool so I made me one. take a rad. hose
clamp and a beer can or coke can cut about a 4in long strip and
1 1/2 wide. glue one end on the inside of the clamp leave the
rest of the strip loose. Place over the rings and piston and
tighten but not to tight and bump the cylinder on the piston.
It does work. I do it on all the saws I work on.
