Lanier 5622 says following output tray is full please remove paper. However it can be empty, half full, or completely full of paper and this error will not go away. Just replaced the photo conductor unit in copier and cannot get it to work at all.

Hello!
Why did you change the fotoconductor Unit???? This part of the machine is to create the image.
Your problem is in the tray. Meaby a broken switch. Take out the all tray and look inside to see if there is same obstruction.
If you do not see anything i advise you to call a Tech.

Dont waste more money if you dont know what your doing. This is the best advise i can give you.

See you!

How to output bin empty ?

  1. The output bin may be full. Empty the output bin. Printing resumes automatically.
  2. Take a close look at the flaps hanging out the exit of the printer. They should move up and down freely. If one of them is stuck up, broken or dislodged, then a bin full error is displayed.
  3. Open rear exit tray and power on the printer. If the printer comes to a Ready state, close rear tray and try printing.
  4. Clean the paper path below the toner area and exit assembly at the back of the printer. Ensure there is no pieces of paper stuck in the paper path of the printer.

Says "out of paper" even when full of paper.

Remove the tray and paper and examine the lifter to make sure it is lifting. Also check the settings under paper handling on the menu to make sure it is set correctly.

The display says following output tray is full.

Look at the area where the paper just exits from the machine. You should see a small black plastic arm. Make sure it has not become stuck in the up position or knocked out of place. This arm is what tells the machine that the area is full of paper. Also your machine is the same as Ricoh 1022, Savin 2522 in case you need to do more research.

Officejet Pro L7780 will not feed paper from bottom bin. Tries twice then defaults to top bin

Check that the paper path is clear.
Check that the paper is dry.
Check that the paper pick ups and rollers are clear of any debris - Power off the machine at the mains and brush them with a damp cloth or brush and maybe vacuum out the entire area to remove all dust etc.
Make sure that you fan out the paper before inserting it into the tray and that the tray is not over full as this will prevent the paper being collected successfully. Try running with half a tray full instead of a full or near empty tray.

This should resolve your problem.

P2015dn paper stops in the through-output path with approx one-half to one inch of paper projecting. Jam indicator lights. Removing paper shows printing has completed over full length of paper.

please, gradually pull out the paper, off your printer and clear the scheduled print jobs through control pane-printers and faxes-select your printer to open then select all the jobs in it and cancel/delet, please before you on and start using make sure the papers in the feeder are aligned and fits the tray i mean set the tray according to the size of the paper, one minutes u can now on and start printing it will work 100% i use the same printer.

Ricoh AP3800C "Output tray full"

Check the little black piece of plastic that senses the printed page exiting the machine. Our sensor was stuck and I was getting the same message (an similar Ricoh product). When I gently reset the black piece to center, moving freely, printing worked again. I think the sensor got jammed up when we were trying to remove a bad paper misfeed.

Ricoh manuals very confusing on this error message. They refer to standard tray, tray one, etc. without being clear whether it's a paper feed tray or the so-called "standard OUTPUT tray." The output is not really a tray, it's just the depression where your sheet lands after printing. I wrenched on the paper feed trays and their settings for an hour before I figured out they meant OUTPUT.
