The strings on the door hinge mechanism have snapped. You will need to pull the unit out and replace them with the new upgraded kit. You can find the parts using the model number inside the door at, rliableparts.com

How to have Hisense Doors stay opne and not self close

Here are some general steps you can try to make the self-closing doors stay open:

Locate the hinge cover on the upper doors of the fridge. This is usually a plastic or metal cover that conceals the hinge mechanism.

Remove the hinge cover by gently prying it off with a flat-head screwdriver or by unscrewing any screws holding it in place.

Look for an adjustable tension screw or tab on the hinge mechanism. This is typically a small metal tab or screw that can be rotated or adjusted.

Use a screwdriver or pliers to adjust the tension screw or tab. Turning it clockwise will usually increase the tension and make the door close more quickly, while turning it counterclockwise will reduce the tension and make the door close more slowly or stay open.

Adjust the tension screw or tab as needed until the door stays open at the desired angle.

Once you have adjusted the tension, replace the hinge cover and test the door to make sure it stays open and closes properly.

Keep in mind that adjusting the tension may affect the performance of the self-closing mechanism, so you may need to adjust it again in the future if you notice any issues. It's also important to be careful when adjusting the hinge mechanism, as improper adjustments could damage the fridge or cause the doors to become unstable

Tensioning garage door tortsion bar. This door is old & the spring is encased in a tube. It has adjusters on both ends , set at 16. How do i adjust them.

if the problem is that the door comes down too fast or is heavy to lift , increase the load of the spring ( 16 to 18,20 etc
do this with the load off the spring ( door fully up-in this position there is less wind up of the spring and that makes it easier to add tension)
properly adjusted the door should remain at any position, be easy to lift and shut
send a photo of the shaft ends if you want more information or talk with a door installer as to how adjustment can be made

ADJUST TENSION DOOR

Just below dish loading door there is a panel. Remove screws (if applicable) to find tension adjustment. Turn screw to the left to loosen or opposite lifting door open or closed untill happy with tension. Some washers have no adjustment, I suggest opening door fully and pulling out bottom load tray, loading and then top tray or rack, pushing top in first then bottom rack. Use a glass fry pan cover or fry pan for weight on door while filling soap. Good luck, best regards

Lift master Garage doors the door doesn't close. once i press the button to close my garage door it shuts the door momentarily and then it opens right back up by itself. nothing is blocking the sensors.

Too much tension on the door can make the "brain" respond by opening the door, thinks something is in the way.... check for binding tracks or wheel guides, loose bolts, dry chain, tension on cables or springs ( be careful here), misaligned sensors....

How to increase Dacor oven door spring tension

The hinge is most likely out of adjustment as the tension should not have to be much to hold the door closed. The pivot point and the attachment to the door must be correct however.

The hinges usually have a hole exposed when you open the door to put a nail in so the hinges will be held open to work on them.
