Just purchased a miele g1142sc dishwasher had a mate over who is a plumber and installed it. No water is coming into the dishwasher is there any safety seals on the water hose, put water into dishwasher pump is working fine. Thanks Dave

Well it is a drain blockage code. Check the pipe. I had a blockage caused by the stalk off an apple and an accumulation of lint!

Check the drain for a blockage.

Hi - if i rember correctly on the sides front top panel is a plastic bung, pop this off and you would see the screws inside - oly problem is most of the later Mieles have torqx screws - anyway if you succeed the gently lift front & push backwards - the top will come off.

But the best ways is to empty the washer of water pull it away from the cabinets disconnect everything.

Lie the silly thing on its back on the bottom will be 4 screws normally this will drop the bottom panels & makes it easier for you to work on the machine.

According to the parts manual this would have a waterproof inlet valve system - typical design for Mieles.

JUST BE CAREFUL - Mieles are excellent machines, try not to damage other components - perhaps the leaks is coming from some other - Miele parts are as costly as the purchase prices.

the back flow flap in the drain pump is bad

F70, waterproof system activated. this means you have water in the bottom pan of the dishwasher. your miele shuts itself off and runs the drain pump continuously any time water leaking is detected. you can pull out the black plastic toe kick under the door. there is a cover panel in the center held on with two t20 screws. you can dry up the water and try to run a cycle. if it works ok, cut back on your detergent by 1/2. if it leaks again, you should probably request service from miele. if you want to try to repair it yourself, let me know and I will help you troubleshoot it further.

Mine is doing the same thing. I tried running a finish cleaner though a cycle. I did nothing I was about to do the same thing again when it just stopped doing it. What did you end up doing?

try removing the pump cover in the sump to see if it is blocked or jammed. it tells you how to in the user manual.

You stated your problem as: the dishwasher won't drain.....can here a valve opening and gurgling but then no water exiting. Have cleaned everything and pushed water via tap back through water-exit hose.I to have a Miele G664 dishwasher and when turned on no water no fill. Just sits there with a moter running. Un able to get anyone to come and have a look at it as I live in Mount Victoria NSW.
It sounds like the pump has failed. The motor and the pump are two different parts. This is a common problem with older units. Frankly, after 12 years of use, at least you got your money's worth. At this age, to repair it is to throw good money after bad. It's time o replace it. You'll find there are much nicer models available now.
