I bought a new convection microwave ove from harvey norman back in May. In July we had a problem with the mircowave over cooking and burning the top of the microwave. We notified harvey norman and the microwave has gone off to a repairer. It's been 7 weeks and we still don't have the microwave back. It has a 12 month warranty. Are they going to keep it for the remainder of the 12 months so i don't have any warranty left????

The warranty should extend to make up for the service time, but if you can't seem to get good communication from the servicer, I would call the manufacturer's customer service number in your manual.

Most microwaves have a shield over the light bulb in the cooking compartment. Some are accessed from the outside most from the inside. Check to see if there are clips or screws that need to be removed to pull the shield off. Careful if there are screws, they are usually coated to prevent the waves from arcing if you crack or break off the coating you could have problems with the microwave arcing
Assuming that model is MV-1310B, that would be your stirrer fan cover, part number 3301W2A017A, which you can get from Encompass here or by calling toll-free at 866-779-5835.
If you need new clips / rivets for it, they are part number 4051W3A001A.
