Sound dead,
no OS stated, is this XP:?
no PC stated, just a screen monitor F1903 (old)
to have sound , there is no need for modems or the internet for sound. ever.
I guess this is a desk top PC, yes some use external monitors on laptops for good reasons, (its bigger)
so cant tell what you have there but guess some PC desktop
is it a HP desktop, ?

my guess With select models, one set of Harmon Kardon speakers with a DC cable and a DC power adapter.

if that is what is connected?, (is it?) then the DC pack is not plugged in, the DC pack power the speaker amp, in the speaker box where ever it resides. has
no power applied there will be , no sound if true.

ive no idea at all what you have there,
you need to say or show photos.?

or ask a geek to fix it. (one who hates chickens)

NEXT we do , direct head phones fail at the green jack, yes the other half. failed.

1: step one, click control panel.
2: now click , SOUND icon
    3: click TAB SOUNDS.
4: click asterisk , then push play, it must make a sound. in the headphones.
5: if YES, good, if NO? turn up the volume.
if NO, go to speakers tab turn same screen on speakers tab and make sure speakers are checked to ON.(mine has many choices here, even 5.1 sound system. my guess ours is 1 choice here, on old PC)

6: if now sounds YET , go back to control panel page. and ....
7: now click device manager (if XP it's hidden so if XP say so and we can go THERE )
8: Device manager. see your sound chip.?there.?>
mine says, sound video and game controllers w10. yours> "sound card or something audio"
if it SHOWS unknown , missing or red or yellow marked yes, that means the sound driver is A WRECK, BAD, MISSING, WRONG OR CORRUPTED.

    NEED SOUND DRIVERS?
GO to you unstated PC makers web site, and get your sound driver there.
IF it's and HP say so, you did not. please say so.

the last possible (first?) if running XP
the PC is infected with a virus.
XP has over 700 exploits, so is a DOOM box.
If XP , time to upgrade , it;s a fact.

next time list what you own there,

SOURCE: Speakers don't Work on HP Pavilion f1903 desktop

Just match the color of the male and female on each end. Plug the audio cable (mini stereo phone plugs) to the PC audio line out (green miniphone jack) to the Powered speaker mini stereo phone audio line input jack (green color jack). You will have to set the volume controls of the speaker control knob and at the PC on screen volume control panel.

Reconnect my Internet on my gateway

Hello Crystal.
where are you , at home or Starbucks? gee wiz.....
locations matter, even country.
no PCs stated! gate way what model.?
no OS stated. (xp,vista,w7/8/10?????????_)
no connection stated or ISP stated, nor if (wifi or ethernet?)
are you at home or Startbucks? locations matter.
the most easy way to get back the web,
is to what?
be at home.
test other PCs or Cell phones (if wifi) first on YOUR ROUTER for wifi Access POINT (AP)
ok that fails.... sure...
then connect any CAT/5/6 Ethernet cable from your PC to Router
bam , web is working in 1 minutes work.

do that first then we can play wifi games all day.
wifi can be easy to endless horrors, (in high density city yes bad.)
Always get ethernet working first. then we can play games making al the other toys work. like wifi, sound, etc.

www connections possible:
ISP , vast.
SATelite. Hughes net.
Cable modem to cable company , im typing now at x16 speed modem connected (paid)
Dial up, nah bet you never seen landline dial up.
FIOS, fiber to home.
3/4G, we can in fact connect a card to any PC and run
3G. called a 3G dongle.
tin can and strig, gosh I wish...
we mostly have
ISP and IPS plants a modem there and router
and with wifi private and at home.
to test your PC ,router and modem use ETHERNET First
called a cable or wired, by that name from PC to router. (cat5/6 cable sold in all computers stores on earth)
this works automatically.
Plug it in and Bam connected to your subnet and www.
some newer installations (stuff) modem and router on one casing.
but no changes in ops.

if ethernet fails , then say so , if it works
then try wifi next
wifi last is best to try last.
that way we have key facts in diagnosis.

wifi can be easy or horribly unreliable.
it is weak technology,
upgrade to 3G if wireless , is mandatory.

Ji case 440

the OS is corrupted, a fact ! deal with that first. reload it yet?

the word laptop or desktop not stated, wow.
Optical drives dead. (super common)
get rid of XP?
stop using it. now.
what is Ji,? (Spanish for laugh, mixed with English case)
what is CASE? (or the computer case is bent)?
use full PC names only. and full model number for help.

XP is a dead OS and virus magnet,
old DVD drives fail.
the drivers in your PC are corrupted, if XP its like normal
why not reload the OS, for the disks Dell gave you.

is this an OLD M440 Dell Precision laptop? my wild wild guess....
or M4400 , SC440, or
the M440 (M means mobile at dell. lap/notebooks, are)
Dell has zero support on M440 and precision.

time to buy PC 2010 or newer, would be 10x more reliable and happy users. do not run XP ever. again.

Turn your broadband off for 20seconds then turn it on again. If that dosen't work then press the RESET button on your broadband. If all above don't work then disconnect The cable between your pc and the broadband then after 10seconds reconnect and restart your pc.Still if nothing works right click the network symbol and click troubleshoot.

XP is dead
why even say XP
no camera stated
no PC stated
no OS stated really,
the implication stated, is XP software loaded to vista,7,8 or 10
but not told what OS it is. and makes any answer useless here.
step 1, is your unstated PC on the www internet now

Internet is dead.

better list?
1: make sure wifi card is there first. or all this is a waste, ok?
2: reboot modem. if all devices in home using wifi are dead.
3: reboot router, if not part of modem above, for same reasons.
4:use Ethernet wired first. get that working first so you can connect to the internet and get drivers missing for you wifi card, inside.
now that internet works we may see XP actually find drivers automatically, using its PnP engine, but XP is dead, now at Microsoft dot com. dead as door nail. but hope springs eternal for XP (not)
The Device manager must show the wifi card is present and
not bleeding red errors, yellow errors or listed UNKNOWN.
IF is bad there, then the driver is missing bad corrupted or the wrong one loaded.
finding xp driver 99% of the time nets you a virus
most sites that say free drivers are malware sites feeding off the bones of the last few XP users on earth. (sad to watch)
I do have safe drivers. they are here. (I do not work there)
but takes skill to use. (I download them)
then I use virustotal.com on the package, it is clean !
ask for help or post the photo of you wifi card so I can read the sticker and tell you what you have and what drivers are possible.

here is the one known safe site for such relics. WLAN.
version 12 should have your driver but is stored in torrent free site.
as you can see there are vast wifi chips used.
that is why I use DM (properties IDs) to find the true name.

http://driverpacks.net/driverpacks/windows/xp/x86/wlan

dev-id-1vbx0tmk5jh3hk3cmdz40urc-2-0.jpg there are 3 ways to ID the wifi card
1: read is label sticker (eyeballs do not lie)
2; use DM and details tab above.
3: run HWinfo32.exe portable, (free ) run it and it tells you if wifi is there and what chips it is, maker of chip and model.#

Try opening Device Manager in Control Panel and deleting the driver. Reboot, plug the mouse in again and see if that works.
Alternatively try restoring your PC to before your last update.

If you make any software changes like an internet explorer update or any kind of software related to web browsing maybe it blocked your internet access, try to do a system restore, what's your OS (XP,VISTA, 7), you need to go on start then all programs, then accessories, then system tools, then click on system restore, once the window pops up choose restore my system to an earlier point, you are going to see a calendar, well it depends on your OS version, choose one date that yo remember using the internet, then it'll do it by itself, a restart and it'll let you know if the restore was possible, sometimes a virus can block your internet access, as soon as you restore run a full antivirus analysis to make sure your computer is clean, then try to browse, another option is to delete your cookies.
