LG LRSC-26922 Side by Side Refrigerator Logo

We have an LG french door refrigerator model LRFD25850ST. It has water that leaks onto the floor from the back of the fridge. We traced it back to a faulty water line that continues to crack even though we have had several repairmen come and "fix" it by cutting out the bad part, adding new line, and hooking up the remaining ends. It works for a time and then splits again. Now the line has leaked too close to the top and cannot be cut out. We have turned off the in-door water dispenser but this line still feeds the ice maker (which we need) and so it continues to leak. Also we have had numerous items freeze at the back of the fridge even though the temperature is set to 41 degrees which may or may not be related. We would like to have the water line replaced but are concerned that the replacement would continue to do the same thing. Any suggestions for a more permanent repair or should we go to making ice cubes in our deep freeze...

I take it your water line is not copper. It may be old and getting fragile. I would replace the line with copper and check the water pressure in your home to make sure it isn't too high. (the maximum water pressure for a residence is 80psi.)

Try closing the water valve slightly to reduce the water pressure to the unit.

SOURCE: LG ice maker only making two ice cubes at a time

Colenoid in the ice dispenser may be clogged or have a small amount of trash in it. Is there a filter on before the fridge (just after the ice maker shutoff)?

SOURCE: Ice Maker Freezing Up and Ice not dispensing

Check your ice cube tray to see if it is warped. Mine was. I took the tray off and dipped it into boiling water and remoulded it to the original shape and re-installed it. So far no problems. The tray gets warped because of the ice cube release mechanism. The tray is rotated around until it meets a block on one corner which creates the twisting motion we used to do on manual trays. Over time it tends to warp the tray. Good luck

I work on LG/Kenmore elite "Trio"aka french door model about 3 times a day on all kinds of problems. Read through this for both Icemaker freezing and crisper bins freezing. First, the Icemaker freezing problem could be either water valve is not closing properly causing too much water to get to Icemaker or the liner on the roof of the Freezer section is sagging. There is a fix and that would be a liner kit from LG. Second, the problem on the bottom crisper bin freezing is an issue with the bottom liner under the bin is bubbling. If you can take the tray out and push the liner up and down like a pillow, it has separated and it is holding freezer temp air in there causing the left side to freeze. THERE IS NO FIX TO THIS YOU MUST NOT PUT SCREWS INTO IT, IT CAN POSSIBLY DAMAGE WHAT IS UNDER THE LINER CONSULT LG OR THE MANUFACTURER ON THIS PROBLEM!!!!!!!!!

On my lg French door refrigerator it is beeping intermittently. The temperature led on the front changes by itself. It is cooling.

I had the same problem with my LG side by side fridge. After lots of hassles I found that one of the switches on the control panel had moisture in it. After changing the faulty switch all my problems were solved. No more beeping by it self and all the buttons work fine.

LG FRIDGE model FR-S392GC periodically leaks water onto the floor

If you leave the fridge door open the fridge will condense water from the air and after a few hours a puddle will form. Make sure the door stays shut. Also it may have a defrost cycle which can cause this.

I have an LG french door bottom freezer refrigerator. Water is coming out of the back freezer vents and then pooling and freezing on the freezer floor. If we don't remove it periodically it leaks onto the...

This has nothing to do with the ice maker. The defrost drain has frozen over. Inside the freezer you will see that the whole back is a panel. Unplug the unit and gently pry at the top of this panel. It will come forward and then you can lift it out. unplug the fans and take the panel out. You will see the coils. and underneath the coils, the drain pan. Mine was completely filled with ice. I used a hair dryer to melt it and remove the large chunks. Be gentle. Use a turkey baster to remove excess water. Then pour some very hot water in to clear the drain itself.

Water comes from under drawers on fridge side, leaks onto floor

If leak continued then you must have a faulty cut off valve. Check and tighten valve. Also, check the hose that runs underneath the fridge for cuts or holes.
