The Lexmark Prospect Pro205 requires all the cartridges to have ink in them to continue printing even if your printing in "black and white" only.

Lexmark prospect pro 205 not supported by this all in one

Please make sure you are inserting genuine Lexmark cartridges. Lexmark printers work best with original supplies. Lexmark does not recommend the use of refilled, re-manufactured or clone cartridges. You might not get the print quality you expect from the ink that is specially formulated by Lexmark.

I have a lexmark z2320 inkjet printer the colour cartridge is empty should it still print the black is full

I'm not a computer geek at all, but I find the color cartridges always run out first. Try to change your printer settings so it will only print in black and white and so uses the black cartridge and not the color one. If the the color cartridge is empty, the page will not print correctly. It may print some of the black color only.

How do i refill Lexmark prospect se pro208 Ink Cartridges

I have a Lexmark Prospect SE Pro208 and let cartridges run empty. I then purchased refill ink made the proper hole and needled
ink into the cartridges. Only thing is that the printer does not measure how much ink is in the cartridge it guesses by quality, amount of ink used on each sheet. It uses the chip on the cartridge as a install date and serial #. when I tried to print it said
the cartridges were empty still. BUT!!! if I took a memory stick and stuck it in the printer port I could print the picture from the
mini screen. that would mean that the program installed on the computer was "edited" would that work to fix $100 of ink to be purchased??? just a thought.

I have a Lexmark 1200 printer. Colour promlems

It could be that the cartridge has become dry.
you have to try several head cleans using the printer software and if that doesnt help then the cartridge needs to be replaced.

let the colour cartridge be inside the printer.if its empty then also black will print.but its necessay that the colour cartridge should be in the printer as without the colour cartridsge in the printer the circuit does not gets completed.but the cartridge should be inside the printer if its empty no problem you can just print in black it will print.
