This is an issue with most mp3 on win xp. Same with my Sansa c240 and Sansa Fuze. They did show up however as extra storage devices in the start until all xp updates were installed. They now show with their icon and brand/model.

On the MP3 player, go to settings > system, put the USB mode to MSC, then reconnect to the computer, computer will read, the device is currently on MTP and your computer doesnt have driver so that is why its not recognizing.

Coby MP705 not being recognized by computer.

You need to plug it into a USB 2.0 port. The 1.0 (or 1.1) standard does NOT work.

Coby mp4 player mp-c79095

I didn't have a problem accessing the flash memory of my Coby mp4 until I upgraded to Media Player 11. Now it recognizes the coby for what it is, but I can't explore the flash memory like I used to. It used to recognize it as another drive, now it shows up as a portable media device. Do I have to go back to MP10 to get it back or is there another way?

That is the video converter you'll need to put videos on.

To transfer music try using Windows Media Player, if wmp does not recognized it; open My Computer, look for "Coby Mp..." or something like that.open it and drag media to the corresponding folder.

Hope that fixed it
