Hi, I know this model because I have one exactly as yours and I fixed it a couple of time. Your problem seems to be the lid switch assembly. Your wiil find it for less than $40 at partselect.ca or at the place of your choice. Before buying it make sure that the lid is not loose, if it is, just replace the lid hinge balls (2). If the lid is not loose you might have the lid switch checked by the appropriate person for looseness or breakage. That switch is located under the timer. You will also notice a small bulge on the lid facing the switch. It should be intact or it will not activate the switch.

Hi,
I would suggest the interlock or door sensor is malfunctioning which will only become worse each time you have to slam the door.
Sorry but service engineer call ;-0)

You have a bad lid switch. You can buy these very cheap at your local dealer. Sometimes you can just bypass them if you have no kids in the house that will open the door while its running. Good luck!!

Your drive motor may be fine. Check the water pump that is located in the back behind the small metal door on the left bottom corner and see if thats where your noise/water is coming from. These extraction pumps have bearings casing that gets mangled and locked up. Look right above the flywheel that the belt rides on in the W-pump.

Open the lid and in the middle pull the cap off the top off the agitator.
Then remove the little plastic piece, and you should see a 1/2 nut and some little plastic teeth that when the unit is running it locks into those.
Verify by turning with your hand that they are not striped out, If they are then you will need to replace those. If its not agitating it will be more Technical to diagnose.
Also make sure the screw is tight.
Good Luck!

SOURCE: Maytag washing machine skips rinse cycle
Don't know how to solve it, but I do know that the Solution #1 is WRONG.
I have a 5 year warranty on my washer, but I hate people coming into my house. Background check or not, people are people.
Any ways, when they do fix my problem I will let you know. It's an electrical problem.
I know our electric meters are running, but all you have to do is put the washer on "SPIN" cycle, and it will spin and the water will come out. Or you can put your washer in RINSE cycle, since it did not actually rinse.
I was standing and I watched my washer fill 3/4 full with water, and the skip to "COMPLETE" all on it's own. It was suppose to fill all the way to FULL.
Thinking though, I have well water, and I have rust in my water, and I noticed that my water is pouring slower into the washer, maybe there is a clog with rust or something I'll have to clean the filter, but any ways, maybe the washers have a timer, and when it's to the time it should be complete, it skips to complete. It does take DOUBLE time for my water to go into the washer. I was standing there for several minutes.
Any ways, I hope that will help. My washer first did that a few months ago, it didn't do it again, I didn't think anything of it, then it did it again last month, and about every 2 or 3 washes, it does it. It's NOT the weight of my clothes! I wash mini loads and it does it.
