Da-Lite Cosmopolitan Screen stretch marks

Hi,

I have a Da-Lite Cosmopolitan Tensioned screen. A while back the screen jammed while the motor was closing and this caused the screen to be stretched, leaving a dull surface in part of the screen. I have tried to wash the screen with soap and water but seems the spot is still there. I also called up Da-Lite and they told me that I need to order the roller and the screen from them (~ $1300). I had this screen purchased for $1500, is there a place that I can order the material only? What are my options? The screen is a Cinema Vision 1.1 gain. Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Pirooz

I replaced the head gasket on my nissan pick D21 1987 but I cant get the timing right i have all the marks like the book says but it will not start im i doing the timing wrong what should i do

did you adjust the valves and are you sure after you put belt on and have it tensioned that you ran the motor around by hand at least 2 full revolutions?

if you do this and then find the marks are off...you either got it wrong to begin with, or the timing belt is stretched...hope you didnt try to reuse the timing belt...anytime ya take one off you should change it

Da Lite projector screen will not retract. It is pulled all the way down

After pulling the screen down to the desire length, The mechanism will lock itself once you stop pulling.

To retract it, you need to pull the cord down again and allow the screen to retract on its own. The screen will retract rapidly at first but will slow down to a gentle stop when it reaches the case.

Try it.

Screen wont retract all the way up in ceiling

Assuming your screen a motorised type and is able to move down and up when you press the remote, it means that the motor is working well. 2 possible reason are:-

1), The limiter mechanism to stop the movement for the up and down position is faulty or misalign. Up limiter in this case require check and realignment.

2), The end of the screen ( the bottom ) while closing ( move up ) stopped too late, over shot and it fell down on the other side causing that extra length hanging. Up limiter in this case require check and realignment.

Pls contact your local Dalite support if you are unable to find a repair man.

Screen shuts off. Power lite blinks. Aquos 42"

Hi,

Hope you have the correct resolution selected:

HD View Modes: When viewing an HD program you can select the following 4 viewing modes.
  • Stretch: suitable for viewing 1.78:1 DVDs. When viewing 1.85:1 DVDs, this mode will show thin black bands at top and bottom of the screen.
  • Dot by Dot (1080i/p only): detects the resolution of the signal and displays an image with the same number of pixels on the screen. When a 720p signal is being input, the image will be delivered in full screen.
  • Smart Stretch: suitable for stretching 4:3 programs to fill the screen.
  • Zoom: suitable for viewing wide-screen 2.35:1 aspect-ratio programs in full screen.
PC View Modes: You can connect the TV to your PC through the HDMI inputs to use the TV as a monitor. The following view modes are available in PC mode.
  • 4:3 Input Signal: You can select between Normal, Zoom, Stretch, or Dot by Dot.
  • 16:9 Input Signal: You can select between Stretch or Dot by Dot.
Also verify if you have set auto timer to 30 mins or so thats why the TV shuts down after a particular time.

Thanks
