Are you certain the replacement power supply is good? A defective main board or power supply can cause this problem.

no sound either? Also is this set connected to a cable or satellite box for signal?

the main board is the usual cause of those symptoms. You should be able to get a replacement main board by contacting the guys at www.tvcircuitboards.com

Hi, Is the problem on everything?
eg. Cable - Sky - DVD - Normal Terestial TV.

I had a similar problem when I was viewing Sky but found out it was only affecting sky. Turned it of and left it for 1/2 hour then plugged it back in.then all was fine ( something to do with humidity).I'm not saying this is the problem, but check it out.

I changed out a HDMI to HDMI cable for a DVI-I to HDMI cable.

You probably have defective switches on the side of the television. Try leaving the switches disconnected (unplug the connector on the switch board) for a few days and see if the defect goes away. If it does, then order a new switch board.
