If your tv is not a DLP the problem is in the convergence, try to adjust it using your original remote control go to the setting menu then to the convergence section. Adjust the red and blue convergence. you should move the red and the blue in up, down and left, right if this color does not move far enough your convergence IC is already defective. Replacing this convergence IC will solve the problem. In locating this convergence IC you should remove the back cover of your unit but be sure to unplug it before doing this. This convergence IC is attached to a large aluminum plate, it is the heat sink, and it has a marking of stk- ### followed by numbers. You can try to pull it out using a soldering iron and soldering pump but be careful you may damage the board and cause much problem to your unit. Or you can contact a technician to do it for you and save you from stress good day and best regards.
Hello there,
The problem with the television is a convergence problem that is why you are having the lines and the double vision.
One have to be very careful in trying to fix this, as it requires you to tune up some components on the board or replace the convergence IC. If the set up cannot be changed from the menu of the television.
The convergence IC is what you are to replace on the television. Replace the convergence IC and check power resistor for leakage, if values are not exact replace them. Once the parts are in place perform the alignment.
a blown power transistor on the convergence board and bad solder joints on the flyback(s) could also be the cause.
So have the convergence board checked.
Hope this helped.
Goodluck

Hello; This is likely caused by the convergence output IC's. They may just need to be re soldered to the PCB, or replaced. Most convergence IC's start with " STK " then 3 or 4 numbers. There are usually 2 of them. There could also be some blown fuses when the IC's went bad. Not a repair for the novice! John
